“La Tagliata Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

My husband and I ate at La Tagliata Restaurant in May after reading about it on Trip Advisor and we highly recommend the Family run restaurant. The food was plentiful and delicious and we would love to return if and when we return to Positano. I had a cooking class as well and thoroughly enjoyed myself . I learnt to cook 6 different dishes and after we all sat down in the restaurant to eat our cooking. The young lady in charge of the cooking classes is really lovely and puts a lot of effort in organising the classes. I came away with a great deal of knowledge and have since cooked the dishes at home which were well received. The family cannot do enough for you and are very generous with their time.

“Wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Quite frankly, my wife, 6 friends and I had no idea what we were getting in to. First off, the views are absolutely incredible. You are greeted as if you have known the owner his whole life. The amount of food served was overwhelming, and better yet, all delicious. Make sure you go with an appetite and enjoy

“Italian Family Feast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

If you want a fancy place, with a fancy menu where you can be picky and choosy and someone waiting on your beck and call, this is not the place for you, go somewhere else before you start to whine and complain. But if you want a true italian family style meal, some of the best pasta you have ever tasted, and ricotta cheese that melts in your mouth, and plates that just keep coming to your table with more wonders to be tasted then this is the place for you. Most of the amazing meals I have ever tasted have been at restaurants where I never laid eyes on a menu. Where the owner is so proud and excited about their creations that they bring them to you to show off what they have created and this place was no exception. The restaurant is set in their farm and use everything they produce. Mama and Papa were so friendly and welcoming and were excited to get you eating. The Antipasto were all delicious including the eggplant which can so easily be overcooked or undercooked, the pasta courses were all great and included the best ravioli I have ever tasted. By the time desserts came we were all stuffed but could not resist as everything else had been so delicious. We were glad we didnt -pass on the as they did not the disappoint, the pastries which at first didnt look too appetizing were in fact very good and the plate of berries and cherries was equally if not more delicious than the pastries. We were a little scared at this point for the bill since we had eaten like kings and being a family of 7 did not know what to expect. But when we saw the bill we were extremely surprised that it was incredibly reasonable for all the food we had eaten. I cannot wait to go back for more.

“An experience you can't miss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

The concept is simple. No menu. Mama will cook the seasonal ingredients and serve you really authentic Italian food. The antipasti alone will probably fill you up so pace yourself slowly. Everything was full of flavor and impeccably seasoned. Next comes the pasta, a selection of different pasta - all very good as well. If you're still not full you can opt for some grilled meats (lamb, sausage, beef, chicken, pork, rabbit - did I not say there's a lot of food?) before moving on to desserts. The selection of desserts were fantastic. The tiramisu, the pear and ricotta tart, the pistachio profiterole, the strawberry and melon fruit salad - any many more.

I need not mention the amazing view of Positano as this restaurant is perched on top of the hill. We didn't make a reservation when we went but everyone seemed to have so if you want to secure a table by the railings. Try their fresh squeezed orange juice as well. Without the meat the whole meal came down to just €25pp! Don't miss it!

“Best meal ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

We stopped there on the recommendation of our guide with AP Tours. The food was so wonderful and the view can't be beat. We thought the first food brought out was the meal but it was just the appetizers. Pace yourself! This was our last day of vacation and the perfect end to our trip.
