“Tingling taste buds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

This was the best meal we had in Italy, and that is saying something! Both my husband and I come from Italian families, so we know authentic Italian food and cooking styles. We had a private tour with Carmine from SeeAmalfiCoast.com, and he brought us to this mountainside restaurant. The views overlooking the Amalfi coast were amazing. As it was our honeymoon, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and invited to sit down at a table where we had stunning views. Lunch was served in several courses. There was no menu, the food was just brought out. Each dish was better than the last. The fresh cheeses and herbs were amazing, but even better was the homemade ravioli and cavatelli and gnocchi. A bottle of wine was included which perfectly complemented the meal. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting fabulous food, fresh and homemade, and stunning views.

“A gem...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

An absolute gem and one of the best meals we had in Italy during our holiday. Firstly, this mountain-top family restaurant has amazing views. Absolutely stunning 180% vistas of the coastline and Positano below. And more importantly, the food was great. It was a set menu so they bring out the dishes and this allows you to sample lots of local dishes. Much of the food is homegrown by the owners on the property. The owners were also very welcoming and friendly. Overall, a great meal and a very enjoyable experience.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

I agree with the last few reviews that this place didn't live up to the hype. The service was really great and the views are wonderful, however it feels like they're just trying to push customers through. It was nice trying a variety of dishes however the food didn't seem fresh which was quite disappointing. Quite a few guests from our hotel ended up dining here for dinner on the same night so the restaurant sent a van to pick us up. The driver was very rude and was in such a rush to get us to the restaurant which was strange but goes along with the factory feel of the restaurant. Go hungry as they serve a lot of food. 35 euros/person including wine. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you have some other options closer to your hotel (we really enjoyed II Fornillo so if you're in the area, it's a must try)!

“A Very Average Experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

This place does not live up to its reputation.Good PR meant it was booked up most of the time. Food is very average, made up with quatitiy rather than quality. One of the poorer meals we had on the Amalfi coast.More Hype than substance!
