“Expectations = reality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Having read so many positive reviews about La Tagliata we were naturally nervous after having our expectations raised to such dizzy heights. No worries. It is as others before us have described it. The food was not only of good quality but plentiful and fantastic value for money. We will try and go back again before we leave.

“Wonderful lunch!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We hired a car to give us a tour of the Amalfi coast. Our driver took us here for lunch. It was wonderful. Heads up though - LOTS of steps depending on which level they seat you at. They do have an elevator, but it was out of service when we were there. This was a fixed price (25 euro), family style meal. They just kept bringing us food they had prepared fresh that day. No menu, no wine list. Everything was just great. It really felt like a true Italian family meal. We were in the lowest dining area overlooking their vast gardens clinging to the cliff. I could see them growing everything I ate. Very special. I would actually go back to Positano, it was so beautiful.

“Believe The Hype!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic dinner at La Tagliata. We were promptly seated at a great table with an amazing view. We actually looked forward to not having to decide from a menu and were open to trying whatever they delivered to our table. As many others have stated you get to sample a wide array of food from beans to pasta to meats and of course desserts. Limoncello to finish off the meal was great too. The €35 charge per person was well worth it considering the amount of food, the amazing view, the friendly service, and the shuttle from our hotel to the restaurant and back. It was a meal and night that we will never forget!

“Family dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Fabulous! This was by far the best dining experience I have ever had! A lovely family owned farm and restaurant on the top of the mountain overlooking Positano and the Mediterranean. Call to reserve a table and catch the shuttle bus. For 30E each you will receive gracious hospitality, five all you can eat courses of homemade deliciousness, bread, deserts, plus all the red or white wine you would like and lemoncello to finish it off. All while gazing out at one of the most beautiful views in the world. What's not to love? Don't miss this if you can help it!

“The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

This place is amazing and definitely worth it! They will send a shuttle to pick you up at your hotel, just call the restaurant. Very family style! Mama cooking in the kitchen, her son is one of the waiters. Such nice people. No menu, so just go with the flow and eat what they bring. So much food! Gluten free bread and pastas, very accomodating! I absolutely loved it here! The lack of a menu kind of had us concerned about pricing, but it turned out to be our cheapest dinner in Positano! (only about 35 euros each!). They bring out wine, pasta, other rounds of food and dessert. Go hungry!
