If this place has truly shut down as the last reviewer stated, it is a tragedy. It is such a peaceful, lovely place and the food was excellent. The staff also went over and above to make our stay special. My teenaged daughter left her eyeglasses behind at the hotel but we were already at the train station with 20 minutes until departure. I called the hotel and the wonderful concierge jumped in the car and ran them up to the train station for us. She was wonderful! We had hoped to go back some day . . . : (

The hotel was shut down last Friday October 19, 2012. I believe it closed permanently. All the employees were let go. It was done without respect to the people who worked there since the beginning as there were all given a week notice - which is a reflection of the ethics and the character of the owners of this place - there are other nice places to stay in the area.

We recently enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Inncasa, Their location is very convenient, only 10 minutes to Piazza Cahen in Orvieto by car. Our room was very clean, spacious, modern, quiet and tastefully decorated. The view from the infinity pool captures the city of Orvieto, and the countryside including the nearby vineyards. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating and the breakfast included a particularly tasty selection of fresh baked pastries.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we tried to make a reservation for next June. Unfortunately, though, we received an e-mail response that Inncasa would no longer be operating as of this month. This is quite a disappointment. It was a lovely place.

The owner of the hotel restaurant was particularly kind, and spoke excellent english. The views were spectacular over the tuscan countryside. The apartments were modern, and airy, and well airconditioned. The food was of a particularly high standard, and the dining area was right next to the infinity pool creating a relaxed ambience. There was a wifi in the pool/restaurant area, which was nice for organising activities will having breakfast. The restaurant used an own recipe balsamic vinegar jam with a couple of the meals, and was kind enough to give a a small supply to bring home with me when I commented on how lovely it was. The location was a great stopping off point on the way between rome and florence.
