“Our favorite place in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

If this place has truly shut down as the last reviewer stated, it is a tragedy. It is such a peaceful, lovely place and the food was excellent. The staff also went over and above to make our stay special. My teenaged daughter left her eyeglasses behind at the hotel but we were already at the train station with 20 minutes until departure. I called the hotel and the wonderful concierge jumped in the car and ran them up to the train station for us. She was wonderful! We had hoped to go back some day . . . : (

We recently enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Inncasa, Their location is very convenient, only 10 minutes to Piazza Cahen in Orvieto by car. Our room was very clean, spacious, modern, quiet and tastefully decorated. The view from the infinity pool captures the city of Orvieto, and the countryside including the nearby vineyards. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating and the breakfast included a particularly tasty selection of fresh baked pastries.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we tried to make a reservation for next June. Unfortunately, though, we received an e-mail response that Inncasa would no longer be operating as of this month. This is quite a disappointment. It was a lovely place.

The owner of the hotel restaurant was particularly kind, and spoke excellent english. The views were spectacular over the tuscan countryside. The apartments were modern, and airy, and well airconditioned. The food was of a particularly high standard, and the dining area was right next to the infinity pool creating a relaxed ambience. There was a wifi in the pool/restaurant area, which was nice for organising activities will having breakfast. The restaurant used an own recipe balsamic vinegar jam with a couple of the meals, and was kind enough to give a a small supply to bring home with me when I commented on how lovely it was. The location was a great stopping off point on the way between rome and florence.

We chose this hotel for our first two nights in Italy after flying into Rome. We stayed in a suite on the second floor. Very nice, modern room with lots of space. The pools are great, especially the infinity pool that looks out onto the countryside and across at Orvieto on the hill. The views from the main building of the hotel are fabulous. So nice just to sit with a glass of wine and take it all in. The location is definitely in the countryside, a short drive into town. That was what we wanted so we were good with that. The restaurant was very good (had dinner there the first night), breakfast was good and the staff at the hotel were very nice, helpful and welcoming. Overall, would recommend this property if you are in the area. One word of advice, if you are traveling outside of high season, consider booking this property closer to your arrival (more at the last minute.) We booked two months in advance and ended up paying twice as much as we would have if we booked it the week of our arrival (and they had rooms available while we were there.) It is a small property, so this is a risk at a busy time but could be worth it otherwise.

Modern and huge rooms, excellent restaurant, marvelous sights. Situated in the middle of a quiet mediterranean countryside (olive trees, vineyards, fig trees). Good treat, very helpful staff. Breakfast correct and the only improvable issue. Free wi-fi. Necessary a car.

Stayed two nights in a garden suite. It was very tastefully decorated and furnished with a lounge, large bathroom, bedroom and patio. It was quiet with great views over Orvieto. The pool area was nice for relaxing. The owners were friendly, helpful and welcoming and showed us round the suite on arrival.

Breakfast was ok, nothing to rave about. Dinner nice and the staff friendly with good service. However at breakfast some of the food was uncovered and there were flies on it which put me off completely. This was the only reason I did not give it five stars.

I would come back again but hope they do something about the food at breakfast.

This is a beautiful place. The grounds are peaceful and the panoramic jacuzzi suite was fabulous. The people who work here are friendly and helpful, there just isn't enough of them. At least one more person in the office would be helpful, as the one office worker has to do all of the check-in paper work and then escort guests to their room. If two guests arrive at the same time, as happened to us, somebody has to wait around until the one office person gets back--not something you really want to do after a long, hot day of touring. Dinner is great; breakfast is meager and mediocre. Come for the beautiful, peaceful grounds, convenient location, and tastefully decorated rooms, but don't expect much else.

Room Tip: Get the panoramic jacuzzi suite if possible. Beautiful view!
