We chose carefully online mainly by location - which was perfect for us, since we wanted to walk from the B&B to Orvieto for in the late afternoon and walk back after spending the evening there. How lovely to be able to do this through Enio and Selita's very own olive grove.
We were also tempted by the thought of a balcony overlooking a view - certainly full marks here, we were mesmerised by the birds, butterflies and beautiful garden flowers and shrubs and further-reaching views from our balcony, and also from the breakfast area at the back of the house.
Breakfast was just brilliant - water melon, homemade bread and home-pressed olive oil, meats and cheese, homemade preserves and honey, fresh tea and coffee, and had we wanted then we could have had all sorts of cooked goodies also.
Unreservedly full marks, thank you Enio and Selita - you were lovely hosts, made us feel really welcome.

Room Tip: Our room had a ceiling fan - very welcome in the heat, we had a really comfortable night's sleep...

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely, historical farmhouse in Orvieto. Ennio and Selita were so friendly and helpful and suggested lovely outings and activites that really suited our family and were enjoyed by the kids. The breakfast was delicious and there was more than enough food to satisfy our 3 hungry kids. We stayed for 4 nights and it was perfect to relax and catch our breath a bit after 2 busy weeks of touring. Thank you Ennio and Selita for being so welcoming and making our stay perfect.

We had the very best time staying in Orvieto at Casa Selita Farmhouse! The place is charming and everything is clean and perfect in every way! The grounds are incredible, but the host and hostess are the most charming and special people you will ever meet. Upon our arrival on a day of over 100 degree heat, Selita was so kind to offer us to follow her to Lake Bolsena to her favorite swimming spot! Beautiful and we would never have had such a wonderful experience!
Our rooms were so cute and detailed, and the views from the little terraces are incredible for sipping wine in the evening!

Room Tip: Only five rooms so e-mail early but you will not regret it!

We stayed at "B&B Casa Selita" for three nights. We would have been happy to stay for a week. It's a beautiful little gem of a place, quiet and in a lovely setting in a gorgeous area. Our room was pretty, clean and comfortable. A nice breakfast with lots of choices was served on the lovely terrace by the garden just beyond the french doors of the attractively decorated living room space with a fireplace and small kitchen. Breakfast even included "home made" olive oil, delicious on toast! Everything looked and felt so wonderfully "Italian". We were invited to store wine and cheese in the refrigerator so that we could enjoy a glass on the little patio outside our room. Our charming hosts, Selita and Enyo, went out of their way to respond to any questions and requests, yet also tactfully retreated to allow us privacy as well. I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly they were. The location is terrific, there is a short lighted path through the olive grove if you prefer to walk to the medieval town of Orvieto, or alternately you can drive up the hill. Orvieto is full of nice restaurants and the views from this hill town are spectacular.

I was there in june 2013, Globetrekker62 , SDemulier and Colleen*s review are all on the nose. I agree with them 100%
Must stay more than one day , visit from there the different cities around. Montepulciano, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, Montalcino, Civita di Bagnoregio, Bolsena , Todi, Terni, Siena.....
Perfect If you can climb a small hill to get to the elevator to go and have a nice dinner in Orvieto to end a beautiful day , if not you can always get to the elevator by car .
Thank you Selita and Ennio

We stayed at Casa Selita in mid-May, and even though we were only there for 1 night, we really loved the place. We initially had a room booked right inside Orvieto, and at the last minute, decided to stay just outside the city walls. I don't regret the decision at all. It is an easy 5-minute walk through a lovely grove of olive trees, which leads you to a parking lot below the city, and an elevator that takes you up. I had a rather ambitious plan to drive south to Calcata, even though our travels were taking us north. Selita suggested instead that we go to Civita di Bagnoregio, and her husband Ennio suggested stopping at Volterra on our way up to Lucca. Both were excellent suggestions, and the drive through the Umbrian countryside was really peaceful. Next time we will take Selita's advice, and stay a bit longer.

Room Tip: We had the room right off the reception area, which has a nice patio.

We so enjoyed our stay at Casa Selita. Selita and her husband are marvellous hosts who make sure that your stay is comfortable. They also give you excellent advice about things to see and good restaurants and wine houses in the area. The room was large, comfortable and cool. Selita made sure we did not walk out the door hungry in the morning. The breakfast was large and filling and Selita's warm company during breakfast was really enjoyable. Orvieto is just a short walk away. We really hope to return and relive our warm memories of our wonderful stay here.
