We came in based on the TripAdvisor reviews but were sorely disappointed. First, the positives: the staff are friendly, and there is a waiter who speaks good English for those who don't speak Italian. The location of the restaurant is beautiful as well. This place has potential. The downside: the food, which was very overpriced for the quality. Our bread we received with our lunch meal had clearly been set out at someone's table the night before, because each piece was hard and stale, as if it had been cut the day before. None of it was edible. Attention to detail and quality would fix this problem in the future. Next, I ordered the chicken with peppers, and the chicken arrived only barely lukewarm in a (also barely lukewarm) greasy sauce of stewed red peppers. The three small pieces of chicken (three small bits that had been cut off of a thigh and breast) were dry and mostly bone, which for the price, was ridiculous, but I didn't want to ask for more, given the taste. (I have ordered delicious whole chickens in other restaurants in Italy for exactly the same price.) My husband had a truffle pasta which also was, in his words, "not that good," and he felt sick afterwards. So, in sum, while this place has potential should the staff and cooks make improvement, I would recommend skipping this restaurant in favor of others in Norcia.
