A stay at beautiful Ortaglia makes you feel you own a home in Tuscany. From the time we drove up our host make us feel so at home that is was as though we owned this delightful property. It is beautfifully landscaped with outstanding views. The rooms are inviting, quiet and serene. Breakfast itself was a wonderful experience with great food in a charming dining room. I highly recommend an extended visit .

We loved our stay at Ortaglia, a beautiful villa sitting above vineyards leading to blue mountains in the distance on one side and a view of Montepulciano, a charming hilltown on the other. Our rooms were decorated with comfortable elegance, and the pool, surrounded by roses, lavendar, and other flowering shrubs was delightful, especially after a long day of sightseeing. Best of all was our host, who made us feel like his specially invited guests and willingly shared his knowledge of wines and of treasures to visit in the surrounding countryside.

We visited Tuscany and stayed for 4 nights at the Ortaglia, which is about 1 mile from Montepulciano. It is a beautifully renovated farmhouse with an outdoor swimming pool. It is surrounded by vineyards and has a magnificent view of Montepulciano. The room was rustic and comfortable. Breakfast was superb with enough food to keep you going all day.
The owner Terenzio is very friendly and speaks excellent english. He has a wealth of exceptionally useful information about Tuscany and is more than willing to organise trips or suggest the best visits and drives. The Ortaglia is an excellent base from which you can visit Tuscany.

The beaty of Tuscany was only exceeded by the hospitality of our host. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful farmhouse. Tuscany would not be complete without "Ortaglia".
