“Always the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2007

If only all travel experiences could be as pleasureable as staying at Sant Antonio, we would be traveling all the time!!
These accomodations are perfect for comfort, peace and quiet, and acessibility to all areas of the beautiful Val d' Orcia. Our first experience was 2004 and was very nice, but our return in Oct 2007 was even better. This is a great location for couples or families. All accomodations are provided with complete kitchens, making "cooking in" very easy, and barbques are available to! To my delight there are 2 high speed computers/printers in the "lounge"........made it very easy for my husband to keep contact with his office e-mail :)
In addition, there was a delicious and complete Tuscan dinner offered once each week.....really alot of fun and as in 2004, met some nice people from all over the world.
Nico Pannevis is an extraordinary host and Sant Antonio is a reflection of this!
We have traveled throughout Italy for the last 12 years....this is hard to beat!

“What a find! Perfect hospitality in Tuscany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2007

Right from the time of our enquiry through to booking and during our stay the information and guidance given by Nico our host was incredible. The grounds, pool and views at the estate are breathtaking and the apartments just so comfortable. Within easy driving distance to more than enough gorgeous little villages Pienza, Cortona, Cetona, Siena, Perugia, San Gimignano, Colle di Val d'Elsa just to name a few, and Montepulciano town just around the corner for some lovely eating out. The dinner hosted by Daniela and Susana on the Wednesday gave us a chance to meet other guests and sample some great italian cooking - thanks again girls! We are so glad we found Sant Antonio. Cheers Nico - first Class! can't wait to come back next year.

“As good as hospitality gets.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2007

My girlfriend and i stayed at Sant' Antonio last week and had a wonderful time. The estate is beautifully designed to offer privacy within a gated community on the edge of Montepulciano. The apartments are large and are furnished very nicely including a comprehensive kitchen and full set of utensils and crockery, with several english speaking tv channels and secure underground parking. The grounds are delightful, the pool is very well maintained, the views are stunning, the tuscan dinner on wednesday evening was great, but the headline act is Nico, whose knowledge of the area, perfect spoken english(having lived in London for 10 years) and more than anything his generosity of spirit, give you the best opportunity to enjoy the real tuscany. If Nico doubled the prices it would still be good value.....but don't tell him that.

  • Liked — The setting and the charm of Nico and his staff
  • Disliked — Having to leave

“A Tuscan Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2007

The Sant' Antonio Resort, located just two miles (3KM) from the walled city of Montepulciano, is a charming sanctuary of Italian hospitality featuring inviting suites and beautiful grounds. The owner, Nico, and his staff attended to every detail in order to ensure our delight. We felt like guests in his home.

Day trips to Florence, Sienna, Assisi, Rome and other desirable destinations are possible because of the central location. Also, there are many great wineries nearby and the local products are stellar. The icing on the cake was the reasonable cost -- this hotel is a tremendous value.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2007

We booked a while ago after speaking to Nico, the guy who owns this place and we were suitably impressed with everything he did for us when booking. His willingness to help was outstanding, even offering to have a hire car waiting for us on arrival and booking restaurants for us (because our Italian was sketchy to say the least). The apartment was more than we had ever expected and was a pleasure to stay in, we felt like royalty! The villages around us were beautiful and Nico was never behind in offering us local information and the best things to see. The restaurants Nico recommended were second to none, but book a table!!
On one night our hosts cooked a Tuscan dinner for everyone at the resort, there are not words to describe how brilliant the food was!
We will be recommending this as a place to stay to all our family and friends and will almost certainly be returning ourselves!
