“Excellent view and very reasonably priced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

We ate here on our first night in Montepulciano, just from walking past and liking the look of it. We had the taster menu, every course was delicious and it was very cheap (compared to Venice and Florence).

“Great view, characterless food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

After having 2 Campari Spritz in the bar on the top level, we went for a meal in the basement. The restaurant has a great view and very good service. It's a place with visible tradition that obviously sells well. We've been a pretty large group and they managed well to serve very diverse orders in quite a short time. I shared a huge “fiorentina” with my wife and it was really big (800g probably) and precisely “medium” done. But that’s all one can say about it. Our daughter’s “pici” with ragu were just too salty. The best thing there was grappa they served at the end. Oily, not too strong, just to tickle your ears.
All in all not exciting.

“Great place to eat with the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

Well priced and honest food. We visited the restaurant two times during our stay at Antico Podero (we were referred to the restaurant by the owner). Our first time we ate there and the second time we came to get two pizza's to take away. I wished we had time to visit more often, because the menu had so many interesting options, with pasta, risotto, meat dishes, fish and of course pizza. The patron (a nice lady) spoke excellent English and helped us understanding the menu better.
