“Absolutely wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

My wife and I spent three incredible days in Montepulciano and had the pleasure of staying at Palazzo Carletti. We now wish we had spent our entire two week Italian vacation there. It was our first trip to Italy so we planned a whirlwind trip so that we could see enough of Italy to find THE place to return to. Montepulciano is THE place and we can't wait to go back year after year. And there's no better place to stay than right on the main street at Palazzo Carletti. It's quaint and elegant and ther service can't be beat. Step out of the front door and you're right there in the middle of main street with everything you need within a few short steps. I will say this: we were there in mid-July and it was toasty. The air conditioner on high all night long never quite did the trick, but once you head out for the day and start sipping the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano!

...pay a bit more and ask for the Albany-Suite. Every good thing you read about: it's true. Christian runs this kind of luxury b&b perfectly, with a little help from the people behind. Magnifico. Ah, one little thing: don't leave the douche before all the water flew.

Palazzo Carletti is a wonderful very special place - a beautifully restored apartment /hotel in the lovely town of Montepulcicano. The decor is superb with attention given to every detail.
The magnificent frescoes of an age past blend perfectly with every modern amenity. From the windows a breathtaking view of the landscape of Tuscany. A special thankyou to Cristian who was so helpful and made our all too brief visit one we shall always remember as special.
I highly recommend the Palazzo Carletti - it deserves and 11.

Absolutely perfect stay in a stunning room. It feels like you are staying in someone's home rather than a hotel. Every amenity you can think of (free wifi, mini bar, coffee machine and ice maker in the room) was available. Can't wait to go back.

Based on what I read from Trip Advisor I booked a 7 night stay for me and my then fiancee. We were getting married that week and we were looking for a 5 star experience as could be expected. We were not let down one bit! Christian the guy who runs the boutique hotel was absolutely the best. He gave us the low down on restaurants, activities, the local bus that runs through town, where to buy things we needed, wine tours and even helped us brush up on our very elementary Italian. He also arranged for taxi's to take us to dinner when we left town and helped us get a bus for the wedding party.

The decor has a very "Medieval Count" feel and for good reason. It was the residence of a Count from medieval times. Updated with the most modern amenities. Fully air conditioned, key less entry, our room had a Turkish bath and a very modern styled bath and vanity set. Not to mention the frescoes painted on the 40 foot ceiling, the flat screen tv and the daily free breakfast. It also is located right in the middle of town. Perfectly situated half way up the hill in town. I don't usually write reviews but this experience should be had by all.

We were staying from 20.08.-26.08.12 in the Albany Suite. This Suite is just amazing. Everything is so unique. In the bedroom you have a huge panorama window from where you have a fantastic view over the beautiful landscape of tuscany. You can also enjoy the view from the balcony. In the bathroom was a jacuzzi for relaxing. The breakfast was good as well. Christian was very helpful all the time. He was helping to make our honeymoon unforgottable. We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to come back soon.
