“Magical Setting for La Dolce Vita”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

We enjoyed a magical week in August at this pristine Tuscan farmhouse. Outfitted to comfortably accommodate our party of 8 with teenage children - the spacious, well appointed villa, with meticulous grounds including a pool overlooking breathtaking vistas made for a memorable family vacation. Owner Maurizio's attention to detail at every turn created a luxury experience. Montepulciano's medieval charm beckoned in the distance though we found the Villa itself just as authentic (and all ours!). The distinctive, delicious and superior Vino de Nobile grown around the property made for the quintessential wine experience : a sense of place in a Villa to call our own. Spectacular!

What a wonderful place to meet our close friends to Celebrate Life and enjoy all that Tuscany has to offer.....great food, wines, weather and scenery! The villa was ideal for our group of 8 plus two surprise visitors. We all had our own room with king size bed, individual bathrooms/showers and plenty of space to be alone or gather together for good times, cooking and relaxing. Maurizio and Jennifer (the owners) were extremely helpful in our pre-planning of tours, wine tastings and special dinners. Every request was dealt with professionally and efficiently. Thanks so much for all you did to make this trip a very special occasion for all of us!

On a recent week's stay here, seven friends and I had the most wonderful time. The villa is large enough to get lost from one another, while at the same time, large enough to be communal. The kitchen is well-appointed and we gave it a workout. There is room enough for dinner for twelve. The property also includes a wonderful orchard, complete with figs, olives, plums and apples and panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside below the city of Montepulciano. Both Maurizio and Jennifer, the owners, are perfectly hospitable and Maurizio makes some really great wine. In all, memories of this location will last a lifetime. Thanks Maurizio and Jennifer.

We had an amazing two weeks at this villa. The pictuires on the website do not do it justice. It has almost 360 degree picture postcard views of vineyard, rolling hills and villages, pearched high atop neighboring hills. We were a group of 13 and required a large villa with pool (particularly important for the children). The villa was exceptionally clean and well cared for, with six large bedrooms each having their own ensuite. The kitchen was large, that enabled happy group cooking for the thirteen of us. The location is very central to all of southern Tuscany's attractions. (We even did day trips to Florence {via train} and Pisa).
Maurizio (the owner) was extremely friendly and attentive and spoke fluent English. He provided a wonderful tour of his vineyard, followed by a great tasting of his wines. We also opted for a Tuscan dinner to be prepared by locals at the villa, which was a great way to sample the tastes of the local area.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa, and we hope to return one day.

Nine friends and I recently stayed at this villa to celebrate a big birthday. The villa was everything we'd hoped and more - the pictures do not do it justice! The villa was gorgeous, well appointed, had amazing views, and was perfect for our group.

Trying to set up something of this magnitute thousands of miles away would typically be challenging, but Maurizio and Jennifer made it very easy. They were accommodating in every way from the very first time we spoke via email. Every question and request was completely answered and fulfilled from the planning stages through to the very last day of our stay.

We planned several events through Maurizio and Jennifer, including the cooking class (which is more of a demonstration but so fun and delcious), the wine tasting tour (which Maurizio turned into an amazing sightseeing tour, including a colorful commentary and lots of fun facts), and the home cooked Tuscan style meal. Maurizio was very helpful, suggesting some fun activities while we were there, and also provided one of the best restaurant recommendations in Montepulciano which resulted in a meal that we are all still talking about!!

Probably the only negative thing to say is that with this many rooms and this many people, a couple of us rarely had hot water for showers; however, we took turns showering in the bathrooms that had consistent hot water and that was fine.

We are all still raving about what a fantastic time we had, and I can't thank Maurizio and Jennifer enough for helping us make it such a great experience. Can't say enough good things about the villa or its owners. Now if only they could've helped out with the weather... :)

We feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay in this amazing villa. After searching many Tuscan villas on various websites, we found this beautifully restored villa near Montepulciano. We were a group of 6 couples, and needed a villa with 6 bedrooms each with en suite bath, indoor/outdoor eating areas, a well-equipped kitchen (this villa had 2 kitchens!), a pool, many common seating areas, a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside, and a location convenient to many of the beautiful Tuscan villages. This villa exceeded all our needs!
The highlight of our week had to be Maurizio, the owner. He made this an unforgettable experience for all. He was so attentive to our needs (both before and during our stay), the cooking class, catered dinner, wine tasting and wine tours he arranged were all informative and lots of fun. His enthusiasm was infectious - it is obvious he loves what he is doing. As we traveled throughout Tuscany, nowhere did we find views more beautiful than from this villa.

our family of 12 spent 2 weeks at villa La Cipressina in April 2013. The views are like movie posters about the Tuscan countryside, the bedrooms are large are very private, the living areas are wonderful and very ample, so our family could stay together or in smaller groups when we wished. the tiled terraces offered different points of interest in the horizon at different hours of the day. the sunset...ahh the beautiful sunsets! with the medieval walled town of montepulciano as a backdrop...the best of all was the cooking course with chef fabroni: wild boar and polenta...I will keep the memories of my family's holiday at La Cipressina forever.
