If you are looking for a warm and friendly atmosphere, efficient service and exceptional value for money in Tuscany then Hotel Kadampha is the place to stay! We stayed for 6 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

The staff at the hotel went out of their way to ensure that our stay was an enjoyable one. Our room was clean and well presented e.g. fresh flowers on our arrival. We also had a wonderful view of the Tuscan hills from our veranda. Leisurely breakfast were delicious and included fresh fruit, juices, fresh croissants/rolls delivered from the bakery that morning ....and wonderful coffee.

Staff were available when needed to provide information and advice about the local area, transport, the people and local customs. This ensured that we were able to make the most of the time we had available for sight-seeing.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights - Dec 30 and 31,2007. What confusion!! The confirmed room reservations were incorrect and it took 2 hours of negotiating to get the correct rooms. Although in Italy, no one was able to speak Italian - they were all English speakers. When called by phone,they were unable to direct us to the hotel from anywhere in the tiny town of Montecatini Terme. The front desk was manned by 2 "volunteers", both of whom knew virtually nothing about running a hotel. The hotel was COLD - in fact all heat turned off completely at 1:30 AM and turned back on at 6:30 AM. You could see your breath in the rooms. This is an absolute bare bones establishment with no amenities. Since it is under new management, I would give it a long time to get on its feet before ever booking here.

Although visiting Italy is always a pleasure it is often hard or almost impossible to find any hotels or restaurants that cater specifically for vegetarians. Needless to say I was so happy when I discovered Hotel Kadampa on my recent travels in Tuscany.

The hotel is clean and occupies an idyllic setting, peaceful and beautiful, yet close enough to Florence and Pisa to provide ample opportunities to visit the sights that make Tuscany so famous throughout the world.

The staff at the hotel really went out of their way to try and make sure our experience was as special as possible.
