Stayed at Hotel Astoria in September. Lovely reception area but our room definately required to be modernised. Food for breakfast is good but not a 4* evening meal. We compared this to the hotels we stayed in at Lake Garda also 4* and were not impressed. Staff at hotel reception excellent.

we have visited montecatini seven times now, we love the resturants of which we have found many wonderful eating houses, there are also many bars and wonderful spa's to visit, this location is for couples who enjoy the real tuscany, not for the usual beach/torist locations. just sit back and enjoy the laid back tuscany. we love it....

i have stayed just one night, but I can suggest either ambiance or restaurant.
rooms are little bit small, but clean and comfortable
of course Montecatini is one of a kind village.

We have just got back from a two week stay at the Astoria - we enjoyed it very much. The hotel and its common areas exude old world charm. It is clean and tidy, though our bedroom was starting to look in need of redecoration (a minor point). The service was excellent - as was the food - and we hardly had a repeat in the whole 2 weeks. All the staff were helpful and polite and some tried hard to make you feel special. The pool is also a a very positive experience - plenty of sun loungers to go round and a good poolside service. Montecatini Terme is an excellent base for travelling to nearby Florence, Pisa, Lucca etc - especially by train, though I felt the resort itself is a little 'touristy'.
