Just returned from a weeks holiday in Montecatini Terme where we stayed at the La Pia Hotel. This hotel is situated in a small square off the main road, so it's ideally located. (Its located in a square behind the Hotel Impero) Not to noisy but handy for the town centre, train and bus station.
The room we were allocated was to the rear so there's no view as behind La Pia is another Hotel so all you see is a wall and windows. The rooms to the front are the best as they have balcony's looking over the square. However this didn't detract from the stay as it was more than compensated by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the quality (and quantity) of the meals provided. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the staff make you feel like family.
The La Pia is a great hotel to stay at if you want to explore the Tuscany region.
I've stayed in Montecatini Terme several times over the last few years and I can only hope when I return here that I can book this hotel again.
