On my first trip to Italy I stayed here for a week and had the best special vacation.
Everybody was friendly and helpful and I immediately felt the Italian hospitality that makes you
feel at home. The accomodations, food, service, location, and atmosphere are excellent.
Hanging out with Roberto at the bar relaxing, laughing, and socializing is the perfect way to end
the day. When I returned on my next trip I was met by Roberto with open arms, a smile, and a
"Special Drink." The best! The hotel underwent renovations and is updated and very comfortable. I am planning my 2013 vacation and this is where I want to be --
feeling the warm Italian hospitality!!

We are staying here as I write (05 October 2012) I think this hotel is very comfortable and, like other reviews, well placed for visits to Pisa, Lucca, Firenze etc.
Great array of food at breakfast, excellent coffee. The tea is ok! Plenty of shopping in the town, even late night but can be very expensive compared to UK designer labels. Many pizza bars & several restaurants. I recommend Simon's Café, just downhill from the hotel, with outside seating for coffees, sandwiches, salads etc quite reasonably priced.
The Basilica is worth a visit despite the austere 1970's architecture!!
The station (use Montecatini Centro it is nearer to the hotel than M. Terme) is 10 minute stroll from hotel.

We went on a 10 trip to Italy and stayed here in the middle 6 nights. Rooms are clean, two twin beds pushed together.- Wasn't the end of the world. Elevator is very small. There is a pool and pool deck with plenty of chairs. Great location. No shower curtain or door, but I think that is pretty typical for the country. We had breakfast every morning, mostly fresh fruit, pastries, breads, juices, yogurt, sliced ham and salami, and eggs. The lounge bar was tended to by Roberto. He is very attentive and has a great memory. Love the Lemoncello Cocktail. The wake up calls were hit and miss. The A/C wasn't what we are used too here in the USA. Overall it was really good.

My wife and i stayed 25th-28th Sept. We found the hotel to be very clean and all the staff to be very helpful and polite. On the ocassions were i left my wife during the day at the hotel to go and work she found the public lounge areas comfortable and relaxing and found the staff extremely helpful and caring. Unfortunately the weather was mixed so she didn't get chance to use the pool area. We upgraded our room to a Deluxe room which was newly refurbished and comfortable with a decent size double bed, and an en-suite shower room which was clean, rather small but pleasant enough for the 3 nights. We found the dining room very spacious and had breakfast only in the Hotel each morning but this room is ready for a refurbishment as is rather dated. The downside for us was that during our stay the hotel was accomodating some large tour groups from Europe and the US who were mostly around in the evenings but away during the day and it took some of its charm away but we appreciate that 4 star hotels are competing for revenue and they do what they have to to stay ontop. Its biggest draw by far is the staff and their customer service and the newly appointed deluxe rooms.
