This comfortable hotel has a lift, large rooms and a small, dedicated, secure parking area (parking for 10 euros a night). However, the parking area is quite hard to find, being off a street, up a side alley to the left then up a back alley to the right. You need to go to reception first as the gate needs to be opened by the receptionist. Our room 222 will be remembered for its size, excellent clothes drying capacity (windows open), VERY firm mattress, great wooden window shutters to keep out the light and the square toilet (round peg in a square hole?). Both the fellows at reception were particularly helpful and obliging. The hotel is well priced (we paid 75 euros for the night) and extremely central to the pedestrian mall and within easy walking distance to some fantastic restaurants. It also has tables and chairs on the street so you can sit and watch the world go by. Breakfast was very good - one of the best we had: muesli, ham & cheese croissants etc. We even had a reserved table due to a large schoolgirl contingent from the USA. Apart from trying to find the parking area, we have very pleasant memories of the Grande Bretagne in Montecatini Terme.
