I went in this little shop cause i was "attracted" from the sign outside the shop where it was written "WE SPEAK ENGLISH" and a said ... the usuall italians who wants to cheat tourists.
Inside i found the owner of the shop, Riccardo a 27 Years old guy who was working and speaking with some customers in German, then some italians and at least was my turn.
I felt like he lived next door: friendly, open minded with a little bit of knowledge of everything is happening in the US.
And the icecream was truly unbeliavable.
I was in florence and i get an icecream for 7 € and was big like an egg. Here with 2 € i get 3 flavour and a good ammount.
They had a refreshing drink called "granita" with 2 bucks for the big size.
And drinks like beers juices and some more, and everyone were the low priced in the city for the hour i was there.
There are some chairs outside and a nice "gazebo" where you can sit, enjoy what you have paid for and you will not be charged a cent !!!
And if you re lucky and want to chat about something get some directions or informations you can ask everything u want to Riccardo, such a tour guide for the city and tuscany.
I will go again for the 3 days i will stay here in montecatini, i have to eat again the "SMURF flavour" i really feel like i'm going to my favourite place to chill out a bit.
