“Fabulous hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Have just arrived home from Italy after staying in this hotel. The hotel is spotless everywhere. The staff do everything to make your stay perfection. We ate in the hotels restaurant "Francy" on our last evening and enjoyed every minute of the experience. I would particularly recommend the tuna as a main course. As I've said if you stay at this hotel and have a problem, speak to the staff and if it's within their powers they will put it right. Wifi can be a bit slow sometimes in the rooms, but I found it better by the pool and I believe in the reception area it's a better speed. But who wants to spend the whole of their holiday online!
Oh and by the way breakfast is very good too!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2015

We stayed here for a week and found the reception desk always to be extremely friendly and helpful, deserving special praise. The modern design interior made a real change for us and all was very clean, new, well-lit and shiny. Our room was spaciious and quiet as we had requested. The problem was that it had been designed by someone who was clueless! The hard edged bedside table was just the right height to poke your eye out, the wardrobe was small with few coathangers (3 more were found on request). You had your face in the sink when you sat on the loo. There was no shelf on which to put toiletries. There was just one little unccomfortable tub of a stool to sit on. The staff did arrange for some upright chairs instead. The bed was hard and the aircon was turned OFF so we were uncomfortably hot ( window designed to open across the bed so we couldn't get out if left open).
Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice but hot items were lukewarm only (hot eggs cost an extra 7 Euros).
We admired the roof top terrace and the building. We enjoyed our week. In the end, though, we were pleased to return to a multi-coloured world with comfortable chairs and temperature.

The Montecatini Palace is a short walk from the Corso Roma and thus near the centre of Montecatini Terme. The hotel has been refurbished and deserves its 5-star rating with modern decoration and furnishings. At some stage the brightness of the decor can appear too much but it is pleasing in the round. The rooms are of a good size and in our case we had one with a small balcony which allows for a breath of air without going outside. The restaurant is of a high quality, though it makes sense also to eat in the town. Breakfast was also excellent. Service was very good. If you come by car, there is limited parking in their garage but the hotel can arrange on-street parking in an environment which is safe. We were there in November en route to Sicily - but we imagine that there would be much more activity in the summer months.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 4th floor and had two very pleasant and quiet nights.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2014

We stayed here for 3 nights in early November 2014. The hotel is very clean and modern and staff was very helpful. We were advised on our tour upon arrival that we would be able to control the temperature of our room. After calling the desk several times trying to figure out how to lower the temperature we were informed that the air conditioning system had been shut off for the season. We were told that the best they could do was turn the heat off. On our first night we had to be moved to a different room for the night (after paying for a superior suite) as it was so hot in our room (25 degrees C) that my husband was sweating and we couldn't get comfortable. We had to leave our balcony doors open our entire stay and the coolest we got the room was 21 degrees C. We stayed at hotels for half this price during this trip that had functional air conditioners. If a hotel is advertising the rooms as having air conditioning this shouldn't mean for only part of the year.

The restaurant in this hotel was absolutely delicious! It was the highlight for us! The staff in the restaurant were especially helpful.

The rooftop pool was closed when we were here but the terrace was absolutely beautiful and we spent 2 evenings up there.

We didn't have any spa treatments but we did the wellness path as it was included with our room. It was nice but I'm not sure it would have been worth the 30 Euro if it weren't included with the suite.

Breakfast buffet had lots of options and was very good!

Staff sent a bottle of champagne to our room as it was our honeymoon which was really nice!

Aside from the air conditioning everything was great!

Good evening from Montecatini Palace,

Thank you very much for your comment and we are very pleased that you have been our client.

We are very happy to understand that you have enjoyed our Hotel: the breakfast, the rooftop pool, the restaurant and the spa.

About the air conditioning usually in November is already cold in Toscany and several clients have asked to turn on the heater and switch off the air conditioning, this is why also in your room there was on the heater that anyway can be switched off.

Looking forward to welcome you again at Montecatini Palace we remain with our best regards

We stayed here as part of a tour. Beautiful, sleek and modern rooms just renovated three months ago. They even included small ammeneties like slippers. Delicious breafast bar with many options and lots of fresh fruit. We also ate dinner here which was equally good. The hotel features a roof top deck with a great view. We didn't have time to walk through the neighborhood and downtown but wish we did. All looked like a pleasant place to walk and explore. We defintely enjoyed our two nights here and highly recommend this hotel.

We have been coming here for the past 8 years This was our first time staying at this hotel and it was a pleasant surprise. Most hotels here are older and need major updates. The palance is entirely new inside with outstanding bathrooms and a roof top pool which is lovely.
The staff made it superb. We had a problem with our renatl cal GPS and the concerge Jolanda was very helpful. She was notonly professinial in avery way but she asked us where else we were going and very politely suggested other hotels in the chain. You are fortunate to have such an outstaning employee. We wil return
