“Fell in Love all over again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2009

This Villa is such a beauitful place. It encompasses Venice, the decor is beautiful and we just got lost within it.

I booked the Villa on a site very cheaply and having read the site and the reviews I thought that the room we would be given would be so different to the website. We were on the ground floor and I think the most basic of rooms are there, although they were so beautiful. I asked to see the other rooms available just incase I wanted to upgrade, but for 50euros extra a night it was not necessary as I felt the ground floor one wasnt that much different. Instead the recepationist showed us all the rooms on the ground floor and we took our pick. The room was spacious and beautiful, the Jacuzzi shower was a lot of fun!!!

The pound being so weak eating out was very pricey, but we soon realised the Italian food was not that dazzling and people dont go to Italy for the food especially Venice. We were so pleased we found a chinese on the last night (near the train station, under the underpass and past the Spa) we found it so cheap and good quality.

Breakfast was great, although we were both feeling a little under the weather so just about managed to drag ourselves there for 10am. We got told off by the manager as we kept on cutting it so fine lol!

We took a cab from the airport for 40euros, what a waste, the cab man said it would take 40mins and we were there in 15! Totol rip off. Best to jump on the bus and then the train for 3-5 euros.

We had a wonderfully romantic time and I am so glad we didnt stay anywhere else!

To get into Venice jump on the train 10mins away and we only bought one ticket (very naughty) but conductors dont seem to exist!

We go away every Dec for a romantic city getaway and this place will remain as one of the best.

We stayed three nights at Villa Stucky, very pleased with our room, would have prefered 1st floor (forgot to request this) it is a lovely villa, the staff were helpful and informative.

Breakfast was buffet style, a bit of a let down and very dry.. and coffee from a vending machine..not good! real fresh coffee would have made a great start to the day,

If you don't like the sound of church bells, you will need earplugs... having said that the church bells across the road have a beautiful tone, I loved them, but my husband hated them at 5,00am!! (one dong).. 8.30am they go mad (about 20 dongs)

Would like to go back to Villa Stucky, and Venice, as we feel we only saw a small part of this beautiful city.
Trains into Venice are cheap and easy, Venice is amazingly beautiful , if a bit grubby in places.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights. We were delighted when we arrived and found the hotel was just like on the website. It has so much charm and uis very typical italian home. The staff were more than helpful and it was easy to get to Venice. We just jumped on the train and 15 min later you were in Venice. We could not fault this hotel at all.

We found this hotel at a local website"Sfeer Hotels" and we just fall in love with it.The hotel didn't crushed our expectations. It was much better that we thought.
The hotel suite was huge and the bathroom had a jacuzzi.Everything was very clean. The bed was also big and very confortable.
The hotel staff was very nice and the breakfast was very good.
I would have wanted an iron in the room because our clothes were all wrinkled. But they had a hair blower in the bathroom and that helped a little bit.
The metro is 6 minutes walking from the hotel and you are in venice in less than 25 minutes.
Once in Venice we saw a lot of people carrying suitcases up and down the bridges and we were very happy with our desition on staying outside the city.
In the town of Mogliano there are few nice restaurants.Ask the staff they are very helpfull.

  • Liked — The big room,the staff,the breakfast,it was very clean
  • Disliked — No iron in the room

We stayed in the Villa for one night, booked it through wotif and can't say anything wrong about it. The guy at the reception was very helpful to give us all information we needed, room was very nice and the whole villa had a very charming character. We also took a train to Venice. The train station is a very easy walk but yoyu can't buy the train tickets on the station. You can buy it from the conductor on the train and if he doesn't turn up you have a free ride:-), although the tickets are not expensive. It takes only 20-25 mins to get to Venice. We had pizza in one of the local restaurants and there was nothing wrong with it. I think prices were lower than in Venice. Mogliano Veneto is very small, but very nice place to walk around in the evening. I would definitely recommend to stay in Villa Stucky. If you want to stay in Venice itself, you need to take a boat and you also pay for your luggage. They charge you per piece of luggage and it wasn't cheap. I think it was around 6 Euros???

We arrived late in the evening in the hotel. There is no train from the airport to the hotel. Taxi is the only possibility - cost around 35 EUR. Breakfast is basic but ok. It's a very short walk to the train station to get to venice. Calculate 30-40 minutes for the trip. We thought, it's a short journey but you still have to walk to the station, take the train, issue a ticket...we thought it's better to stay in the city the next time.

We had a nice basic room - we had the cheapest one. There are some very nice rooms with jaccuzi and sauna. Choose your room wisely.

There are not a lot of restaurants nearby. The two ones we had dinner were not that good. Better stay in Venice for dinner.

All in all, we had a very pleasant easter vacation in italy. Venice is wonderful!

Our stay at Villa Stucky was incredible! We got an amazing rate on travel site (ebookers.com) and only paid $57 per night for a room in the villa!!

Our room was incredibe--with deep blue and dark wood.

The breakfast was delicious and filling. They made us cappuccinos every morning.

There were great places to eat in the area--and not places for tourists, but relaxed Italian atmosphere.

The train was close (about 1/2 mile) and it was a safe walk. The train only took about 20 minutes to get into Venice and it was cheap (less than $3).
