we are a young couple, absolutely loved the place, very good location (mestre shopping and historic centre), the bus to Venice is 2 minutes walk from the hotel, very friendly and attentive staff, huge quiet air conditioned room, with huge private bathroom. the room was cleaned every day. a nice surprise was a bowl of fresh fruit in the lobby every day. the breakfest is a little plain but overall the experience is great.
a free parking is availalible near by (ask the staff). paid parking is 1 minute away from the hotel.
We definetly recommend the place to anyone visiting venice.

I spent a weekend at La Residenza, and it was wonderful. The room was very clean and compfortable. Location is perfect for those who want to reach Venice in an easy way, with connections all night! The lady at the reception was very kind and helpful and speaks a very good English.

We enjoyed our stay at La Residenza. If you want to avoid the high prices in Venice this is a good alternative. It was very nice and clean and spacious. The bathroom and shower were the biggest we had on our trip. We liked the location in Mestre once we found it as it was behind Piazza Ferretto, the main square which was very lively with lots of shops and restaurants. It was also fairly close to the bus stop that we used to arrive and to go to Venice.
We had a very difficult time finding it and once we did (after asking people), the bell did not work so we had to call. The phone number that they give you- the people do not know English well at all so there was a communciation problem. Once they finally understood that we were there, they called the gal that managed the place and she let us in. The map and directions on the website are not too helpful. I will tell you that it is behind the "Barche Plaza" where there is a tall bldg that looks like a dept store with a store called COIN, behind that is a Banca Intesa and behind that you will see a small restaurant with a white canvas roof over the tables that go up in points like a circus top. Just to the right of that little restaurant is the very small street Calle de Sale and it is not well marked. The B&B is on the left in an apt type building. I only want to spare other people from the problem we and many other people have had because once you find it, it really is a nice place.
The "free parking" that they give you is quite a distance away behind an abandoned building with no parking signs but apparently they don't tow.
