This hotel was booked for us as part of a package before going on a cruise. It wasn't too bad, stayed in worse. Rather gaudy, we were only there for one night, it was handy for the shops and restaurants. I agree the towels were awful, staff not the happiest of people, but to be truthful, we found where ever we went in Italy on this holiday, they were quite miserable, not a bit like the Italians that own and work in our restaurants locally. We didn't go into Venice while staying at the hotel as our cruise ship was in Venice over night.

My husband and I stayed here in October after looking for some last minute accommodation in Venice. Walking into this place is like stepping back in time, a novelty at first until you realise the amenities and room look like they were not upgraded since it opened. The rooms are small and due to the old shag pile carpeting do not feel clean. The hotel is in Mestre which is over 30 min from Venice by bus, however the hotel is in the centre of Mestre with Restaurants, shopping and amenities. The breakfast is the continental type with very little choice and the pretentious waiters walk around in suits and are not that helpful. Whilst we were staying in the hotel for 3 days on of the lift was out of order for at least a day, our television was not working, the wifi barely worked so my husband used the guest computer, it was extremely old and was not working properly either. When reported to the front desk attendant said "he would call the computer guy an it wasn't his problem", maybe lost in translation but this is really rude. Many of the desk staff had this attitude about them as if the customers were a bother. Not sure if we were treated particularly badly as we are younger people and like most Australians, choose to dress casually. I would not recommend this place. If on limited time and weather is nice, you only need one whole day (2 nights) to see Venice, I suggest staying Venice itself. The Water Taxi can get you close to most hotels.

I ended up booking this hotel not out of choice but out of availability and location. I arrived in Venice on Nov 1st (a public holiday) so I wasn't having much luck a booking prior to this. On arrival I was disappointed, the decor is gaudy to say the least, however it is located in Mestre which is literally 10 minutes by bus to Venice. Our room was, well dismal. In need of a total revamp, the wall paper was peeling, a smell of damp and the bed springy and uncomfortable. Bed linen was an awful reddish floral motif which I felt was to disguise any marks/stains (usually I prefer fresh, brilliant white linen on a hotel bed). The bathroom was literally a cupboard, however the shower was boiling hot.. but it can get a little wet and messy as it is more a wet room, as there is no cubicle. Towels weren't great, like a waffle type material?

The staff weren't overly helpful- when I asked about which bus goes to in to Venice, I got a simple answer "the number 4". Cheers, but where do I get it from? Can I purchase tickets from the concierge? How frequent is it?
Breakfast wasn't amazing, but it was okay. Really not worth the price in my opinion. I was just grateful I had somewhere to sleep and shower as I arrived at Venice on the last w'end to holiday before the low season. Loads of shops nearby, very busy, bustling town which was nice. Take an immediate left outside the hotel, through the Galleria, take a right and walk towards the huge clock in the town, carry on past on there and you'll come to a restaurant on the left hand side. Great food, great staff, lovely, quaint and cosy inside. Ate here twice and the menu is solid!

We booked this hotel last minute as the hotel we were in in Venice was isolated by high water and we didn't want our suitcases getting wet on the way to the cruise ship. Looked good on arrival, but it was 1st November all saints day so the restaurant was closed for dinner! HELLO! WAKEY WAKEY . Your guests need to eat whether it is a public holiday or not! If you dont want to work on public holidays, then you are in the wrong business!

The room was so small that we could just walk around the bed but nowhere to put luggage. The towels in the bathroom are AWFUL. They are not made out of towelling material, but flat cloth. It is like trying to dry yourself with a tablecloth. They may look trendy but they are terrible to use.

Breakfast has a reasonable (but not extensive) selection with no hot dishes. If you want bacon and eggs - look elsewhere!

It was noisy overnight and beds had lots of bumps from springs.

Looks great but the reality is somewhat different!!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights for our trip to Venice, Staying in Mestre is much cheaper then staying in Venice itself, 2.60euro per person and bus takes you straight there and back. The hotel itself is beautiful upon entrance same with dining room, Breakfast was excellent adaquete for a day of exploring, The rooms however are as expected very small, Bathroom even smaller. The reason for not giving it 5 when the lift opened to our floor (5) the carpets are filthy they are in desperate need of replacing or even a clean same for in our room???, The mattress we had also needed replacing. Other then that it was clean. We would probably stay again. WIFI worked best in the lobby.
