“Very Good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2011

Very nice hotel, good located in Mestre, 20 minutes walk from train station.
There is a market in the same building and a pharmacy in the next block.
There is a bus stop in front the hotel that have a direct bus to Venice (20 min). You can buy the ticket in the hotel, official price.
Hotel room is confortable and quiet. Bathroom is simple and clean.
Hotel staff are very helpfull and nice.
You can ask for wifi with the staff. It is free.

This hotel appears pleasant enough from the outside and the rooms are nicely decorated, but they are very small. The air conditioning did not work, there was no fan and the window did not open. I was there in September and could barely sleep. Can't imagine how it would be in the summer. We were with a tour group and thankfully we were there only one night. Had it not been for the air issue, the hotel could have been a nice stop over. Food was good at breakfast and rooms and lobby were very clean.

Room Tip: Take a fan or noisemaker with you so you can sleep at night!

Spend one night before cruise in October 2011 with a group of my clients. Very nice hotel, located in the city center of Mester and only few stops by direct bus from Venice. Price was good and relatively cheacp comparing with rates in Venice. Easy acessible from Marco Polo Airport (only 10 minutes). Located at nice modern street with plenty of different shops and only 10 minutes by foot from hystorical part of Mester, which is very beautiful.

Breakfast was very usual for 3-4 star hotels in Europe. Not to much to select from, but good for hungry traveller. Cup of capuccino with sandvich, cereals, omelette was good for me in the morning.

I found that price was reasonable and even cheap, location is convenient, and quality is better than expected. Rooms not posh, but this is not a 5 star, so don't expect gold and diamons, but clean and modern furniture. Room bot big, but not small. Some rooms can be blocked together.

Will stay next time when in Venice.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was very modern and extremely convenient to the train station where there is a bus to the airport. The bus stop to Venice is directly in front of the hotels and you may even purchase the tickets there. Our room was huge--much more than we had imagined, perhaps we should have gotten a single because we had a pull out couch in an alcove which we didn't really need (although it was nice). I would recommend this hotel because it is less expensive than Venice and was quite sufficient. Didn't like the coffee in the breakfast room--that menu could be expanded a little.

We stayed at this hotel to be near the train station to Venice, as we were taking a cruise from there the next day. Took the bus from Marco Polo airport that stops near the train station. The station is a bit far from the hotel, but is certainly not too far to get there by foot unless you have a ton of luggage to haul. You can also take the, bus, taxis or vaporetto to get into Venice from Mestre, but taxis charge inordinate amounts. Tickets for the bus are available at the reception desk of the hotel. Remember to validate your tickets for either the bus or the train. The room was surprisingly modern, spotless and quite large, plus had a very nice, well lit bathroom with all the amenities one expects in American hotels. The bed was nicely firm and the TV had english speaking channels. Very nice, complete breakfast. Check Expedia or other websites online for the best price, as we saved quite a bit over the hotel's advertised prices.

Room Tip: The main shopping plaza of Mestre is a nice walk from the hotel. Mestre is a lovely little city, so...

Lovely hotel in an industrial area of Mestre. VERY handy for St Lucia island as the bus stops right outside the hotel Tickets for the bus and or taxi's, vapporetto etc are available and cheaper if bought at the reception. Rooms very large exceptionally clean and tidy. Didn't need the air conditioning so can't comment. Huge beds. Restaurant was very nice but not brilliant at evening meal, whereas breakfast was superb in quality and content. Being able to leave your luggage in a left luggage area while roaming around Venice on your leaving day was a real bonus. Decor was very chic 70's melamine and looked stunning, if you like that style. Overall a nice place to stay. Hotel Ambasciatori next door doesn't look as nice or as clean. Previous reviews pretty much cover it all

I booked Hotel Delfino for 28th of Sep but the date when we arrived, we had been forced by Delfino to stay in the hotel next door called Hotel Ambasciatori, which was in bad condition. I argued with the Hotel staff but they told us the hotel next door belongs to the same boss also accordingly to Italian law, they can offer alternatives to their customers - what a rubbish - no refund no apology. Don't fall into the trap!!!!! ----------never go again!
