“Good value, pleasant stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Stayed here for one night before a cruise. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport and the railway station. The location is great; only a short bus trip from the airport to the station and the hotel was across the road. The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and well priced. Breakfast the next morning ( in a different restaurant) was good. It was a pleasant stay and was reasonably priced.

My partner and I spent three nights in the Best western Bologna and were very impressed with this hotel.
First of all the location could not be more convenient, it is directly across the street from the front entrance of the Mestre train station (note, although it is so close to the train station we never heard any noise from our room).
On arrival, we were met by very helpful staff at the front desk who were great through out our entire stay. The staff spoke very good English and seemed to take a genuine intrest in helping us make the most of our trips into Venice. The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and staff were happy to help if needed. We also had dinner at the hotel twice and the food and service were great and it was very well priced. There are hotel laptops and printers in the loby which allowed us to 'check in online' for our flights and print off the tickets ect which was such a relief.
One of the real positives was the ability to be able to buy Venice tours, train tickets to and from Venice and the bus tickets to the Marco Polo airport which was incredibly convenient! We had a great stay at this hotel and would strongly recommend it to anyone! Thanks to all the staff for all the help

This is the hotel to stay at, if your travelling to Venice but not staying on the island. Its right across the street from the train station, you can buy the train tickets right at the front desk and get to Venice in 20-30 min (inc the wait times). the room was huge, clean and nicely maintained. same with the bathroom, very clean and spacious. Price was reasonably for what we got with the room, the bonus was that it also included buffet breakfast. the spread (scrambled eggs, breads, jams, cheeses, meats, fruits & veggies, etc) was not super extensive (meaning you're not going to find the typical pancakes, french toast foods that you may find in the US), but it filled us up for the morning.
If we make another stop to Venice, we will definitely consider this hotel again.

After going on a great Cruise with the Norwegian Spirit, we had a couple of nights to enjoy Venice. Our travel agent booked this hotel for us because it was near the train station, it's prices were more reasonable than staying in Venice and it was a Best Western. When our ride brought us there, it did not look like very much as it is right beside the street and right across the train station. However, it was comforting to see a McDonald's by the train station, the kids were certainly happy. But I certainly remembered the saying: "Don't judge a book by its cover."

Our rooms were not yet ready when we arrived, we had to wait at the lobby. The front desk receptionists were really very accommodating and gave us the password for the wifi. I must say their lobby is pretty comfortable, it had a TV, books and couches where their clients can wait in comfort. There was also a restaurant by the lobby, however, a bit pricey. but hey, Venice is pricey.

The room was nice and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and spacious with heated tile flooring and heated towel hangers. I just found it strange that there was a tub and a shower, but no shower curtain. So when taking a shower we were very careful as we are not used to having the water splashing all over the bathroom floor.

We found a grocery shop about a block away where we found cheap water for drinking :) and some chips and chocolates. We also bought fresh mozzarella from the refrigerated section, which was very good. I say cheap drinking water because water in Venice is more expensive than wine.

The lady at the reception area, Barbara, gave us brochures for an excursion to Burano, Murano and Torcello which turned out to be very good. They don't go to Torcello anymore, instead, we had more time to enjoy a good lunch in Burano. But all in all it was good.

Our stay included breakfast, which is so far the best breakfast we've had from a Best Western. They served cold cuts, cheese, fresh and canned fruit, an array of breads and pastries and fresh fruit juices, too. Coffee and tea were served in a timely and friendly manner.

Overall, our stay has been splendid and if you are planning a trip to Venice and don't mind taking the train for about 10 minutes, this hotel is a great find. You'll have a chance to enjoy Venice and save a bit of money which you can use for your dinners, some shopping or some gelato, perhaps?

This hotel was fantastic! The man from the front desk was really nice (and even congratulated my for my birthday the next day [he checked our passports]). The room and the bathroom were huge (for the price I payed), so I can definitely say that you get a great value for the money. The location of the hotel is ideal, very conveniently situated across the train station, as I had to take a train at 5 o'clock the next day. My stay at this hotel was great, if I go back to Venice, I'd love to stay here again.

This hotel was Bruta, Bruta, Bruta. Check in went smoothly. The room with 2 single beds were not ready, this was 3 pm but I said I would wait, especially if I could get a better room. I was not asked if I would pay for an upgrade to a better room, I would have! The room was tiny! We asked for single beds as I was staying with my son. In order to get a little bit of privacy, I moved one bed over to the door side of the room. (The bedside "cupboard " were fixed to the wall) The air conditioner made gasping sounds all night. Only when we switched it off could we sleep. When mentioned to reception the next day, they were only mildly interested. Room tip. Go to another hotel. Ok so the breakfast was good.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel unless you overnighting and in a hurry. This hotel is virtually on the station w...

We stayed here mid june. It was an excellent base to visit venice, verona and surrounding areas. It is l across the road from the train station. This is the second time I have stayed here. Breakfast is very reasonable with a basic warm and cold selection: fruit, cereals, pastries, yoghurt, scrambled eggs and good coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms we stayed in were in the new wing. They were modern looking, clean and most suitable for our needs.
