Very clean hotel. Comfortable beds. High tech electronic rooms with key card. Short bus ride away from classic Venice. Friendly.

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to the airport. They provide shuttle to/from airport and the cruiseline port. We arrived, retrieved our luggage and called them for pickup, they were there in less than 15 minutes. The shuttle driver very friendly; the front desk staff very friendly and professional and helpful. The airport is about 2 miles from them. The port was about 20 minutes away. The bus stop to go to Venice is a 5 minute walk down the street. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. It was a plenty with fresh fruits, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels, yogurts, cereals, coffee, juices...it was very very good. Everything about this hotel was very very good. One recommendation would be for them to have for their USA guests some electric plug adaptors. I had a converter but it would not fit into the plug box, it needed an extender with the same European 2 prong plug. Radio Shack here in US did not give me the correct info re/ what I would need to use my electronic gadgets, from my laptop to our cell/camera chargers. All else was just great. Will stay there for our next visit to Europe most definitely.

Front desk staff very helpful, hotel offers scheduled transfer to/from airport, Venice and cruise terminal, only had dinner once in the dining room but found it to better than srrounding rests. Rooms were clean, modern but not large. Only negative to mention was that considering they get a large amount of English speeking clients they only offer CNN and FOX news channels for TV service.

Room Tip: hotel is only a block and a half from public trann

This is our third stay and it did not disappoint. The staff was welcoming, the rooms were clean (no carpeting, but that way just fine), and the food in the restaurant was quite good. Free WiFi and for about 10 euros more you have a nice view across the lagoon to Venice. There was a "rainforest" type shower in the bathroom that was totally refreshing, and new flat-screen TV's (where my wife watched endless reruns of the Royal Wedding.) All in all, a VERY positive experience (since there's a small but nice lounge bar where I was able to escape Kate and William.)

I booked a pre/post cruise special through the hotel because pickup at the airport and hotel to cruise ship was included in the price. After waiting for almost an hour, I finally contacted the hotel and was told we werent picked up because their shuttle was full. We had to load our bags onto a bus and was then dropped off by the bus about 3 blocks from the hotel in an area that did not have sidewalks. We had a very efficient and on-time ride to the port the next day and the included breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel was very clean. We also asked for a wake up call so we could prepare for our departure for the ship but no wake up call was received. Hotel was in a good location so I would probably stay again.

Dear Guest,

first of al we want to thank you for choosing Antony Hotel. We are sorry for the trouble you experienced getting from the airport to our hotel. We just want to make clear that our shuttle bus is not on request but it's scheduled so when you reserve your room you need to write the time you want to be picked up, according to the schedule you can find on our official website. Plus, we recommend our guests to give us a call (if possible) when they've gone through baggage claim since we are not allowed to stop and wait at the airport if the flight is delayed. Our shuttle bus stops at the first floor (outside of the departures terminal) on the second lane, and it is a grey or black mercedes van tagged Sogedin Hotels on both sides. Our drivers wear a yellow jacket to be easily recognised. But still, we are very sorry for the trouble caused to you getting here. Also we would like to inform our customers that, if catching number 5 bus from the airport, the correct stop for our hotel is "Via Passo Campalto", so we suggest requesting the stop right after you see our hotel on your left and then you would just need to walk back up for a few meters to reach us (with sidewalks). We're glad everything went in the right way the day after and we will check up our wake up call system in order to avoid problems in the future. Thank you for your feedback and we really hope to see you again in our hotel!

We had 12 rooms and all of them were smelly, no accessories in the bathroom except an enveloppe of shampoo and a soap. No iron, no shoe shine, nothing but 2 bottles of water in the mini bar. The maid came in the room without notice, my husband was nude!!! She did it in at least 4 rooms these three days. The breakfest was the smallest we had in all of our trip. For a 4 star hotel I would give them 2.5. They ask you to make calls we the number they provide you in your rooms (charged on your credit card) and for a 3 minutes call I was charged 51.04$ canadian....THIS IS A RACKET!!!!

Dear Guest,

we are sorry if you didn’t enjoy your stay with us and we invite you to contact us directly in order to better understand what happened.
Nevertheless, we inform all our customers that the reception staff is ALWAYS available to solve any problems you can incur into. Regarding the breakfast and the accessories in the bathroom, since you were travelling with a group, you obviously booked via a travel agency. All travel agencies know exactly what the services provided to the guests will be depending on the rate they paid. When you travel with a group you get a very basic rate which does not include many services we do provide if travelling individually and booking via email, by phone or on our website. Regarding the phone call: the toll free number you can find in our rooms is a 800 number, and as you know, the hotel didn’t charge you anything. We guess the amount was charged on your credit card by your credit card company. But if you dialled a 1-800 number, that is not toll free from italy, so it gets charged as an international call (rates by the phone company). Regarding the smell in the rooms: did you tell the reception about it? We usually solve this kind of problems very easily. It often happens that some people are very sensitive also to some air fresheners. So please contact us directly in order to understand what happened with your group on that day.

Thank You very much,

We had an early flight and had to stay in a hotel near Marco Polo Airport with shuttle service. The Antony was totally perfect. The shuttle picked us up very quickly after our call at a spot of our choosing in Piazzale Roma, the reception was courteous and efficient, and we were dropped at the airport this morning in great time for our flight. At about 5:55 a.m. the young man at the desk called our room to be sure we were up and ready for the shuttle. We missed the call because we were on the way down. Our room was clean and spacious, and offered Fox News Channel, a great plus for us. Wifi was free and strong. We'll definitely stay there again.
