“Great location and nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

This was a great pick. Not only are you close to Venice, but the location of the hotel is perfect for connecting to transportation and convenience. And the staff was great! They were very helpful, gave great advice on what to do and how to do it, and made sure everything was wonderful. The restaurant on property was great and the breakfast was a good way to start. There is a market a short walk away, and the train station is relatively close, although when we went there, there was a fair amount of construction along the roadways making it a bit hazardous to get there. A nice place to set up your base of operations for a Venice trip or to get on the train to go to other spots in Italy. Great choice

We were sent to this restaurant for our complementary meal. The restaurant was empty and silent. The interior was drab. The staff were pleasant enough offerring to take a picture of our group. They brought the wrong dish to me however, which was quite surprising considering that we were the only three people in the restaurant. The waiter did not offer to replace the dish, but stood there in awkward silence until I said I'd eat what's been put in front of me. The food was so terrible I really struggled to remember eating anything that bad for a long time. The tomato pasta was tasteless and served in a shapeless pile with not so much as a sprig of basil to brighten the dish. The pork escalops were pale and lifeless served in slimy watery bland sauce with soggy "roast" potatoes. None of us could finish the escalops. We were afraid to order anything else. Whether this was because this was a complementary meal or because we were visiting out of season or were the last ones in the restaurant, but it felt like were served the leavings from the kitchen and it was by far the worst meal I have ever had. Aweful!

After a ship cruise we decided to stay one extra day in Venice and as we didn't want to drag suitcases in Venice s narrows streets and bridges we decided to be in Mestre.
Location is very good as you have buses running every 15/20 min to Venice only 50mts from the hotel. Just beside you have a supermarket.
Internet is free but works only in the lobby although they say you in your room.
Fair breakfast but be warned that restaurant is closed for other meals.
Rooms are modern, clean but very small. I requested a triple room w double bed and got a sofa/bed and 2 singles. Went down to the reception and they promptly changed to the same configuration to a slightly bigger room, not to ruin the end of our vacation we just left everything in the room and went to the city to stroll and eat.
If you have 3 people or more is not worthy to take the advertised bus to the airport. Just take a taxi at a fixed rate of 35€. Bus costs 6€ per person and it doesn't go straight to the passenger terminal, you have to hop off and take the airport shuttle service...

We had been given this hotel as part of our cruise deal originally booked at the sister hotel the Delfino next door,of which I had read mixed reviews. All our requirements asked for had been met one being a nearby room for my mother and wheel chair although on the seventh floor access with chair no problem. Negatives are that the shower is a step into bath not suitable for all Rooms large and clean no frills but been in a lot worse could do with more pillows on a rather hard bed. Ones at the front do get some some road noise. Breakfast served in a pleasant restaurant also used for evening dining. No one to help you on seating so sat where we wanted.Short on plates at busy times but good choice on cerials, delicious croissants 3 choices salamis cheese and ham as well as scrambled egg and bacon not bad at all. On the whole a good base for staying in when visiting Venice. Bus stop near hotel tickets can be purchased at reception just make sure when you get on the bus you swipe validation machine on board as you are liable to a fine but never had anyone check ours. Would stay there again

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear quieter

At first we were worried by the few bad reviews this hotel had been given on TA, but searching deeper these individuals had got rooms here via Groupon and so obviously wanted something for nothing.
Don't get me wrong, this is a destination hotel for a purpose and not a long stay hotel. The decoration is a little 70's and a little dark, but everything is very clean and tidy and the rooms spacious.
Breakfast is basic, nothing special but sufficient. The bus stop to get into Venice is directly opposite and a return ticket can be purchased at reception for 3 Euro's.
The bar is a little expensive, but everything in Venice is.
The staff are very helpful ad polite, although the bar man, who was very pleasant and chatty, needed to learn a new word 'deodorant'
You have to remember why you would come to this hotel, its one of the cheaper hotels in the Venice area and that why you choose it. Don't expect 5 star, but what you do get is 3+ and sufficient.

i have had the privilege of travelling in Europe and USA and stayed in many different hotels all over Europe. but this hotel beats them all in being the most terrible.
i just stayed there in August 2013. their internet connection was very poor, but if you finally got the connection done then the speed was ok. and their service was the worst experienced.
breakfast hardly had any variety. when i asked for fried egg, i was told the chef had already left. the chef routine was to come early, prepare all the breakfast and leave by the time you are there for breakfast. so nothing extra was possible.
i could not eat anything of my own in the room as it was against hotel policy. i asked them to heat up some food i had and they bluntly told me to either order from the hotel restaurant or go out and eat.
when i told them that many people had put bad reviews on Tripadvisor web site, the duty manager in the morning said the management knew about it, but since we were paying very little, i should not be expecting so many things. i told him that if company is paying this much, it can certainly pay 10 Euros more for better service.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??? we cannot even have the basic amenities due to such weird policies.

i really wont be staying in this hotel ever again. THE ONLY PLUS SIDE IS GOING TO VENICE FROM HERE IS VERY EASY. nothing else is good about this hotel.

regards
Abdullah

the staff are very nice: breakfast is worth it, fill up before leaving for Venice. could use better parking facilities, we were lucky to get a slot which meant the car did not have to move for the whole stay. the bus to Venice stopped virtually outside and with the purchase of a 36 hour bus (and water bus) pass it meant after 5 trips it paid for itself. nice to have a supermarket almost next door to pack a lunch and be different rather looking for a cheap restaurant, Venice restaurants tend to be touristy.
