Stayed here for three days October 7 through 9, 2012. Train station is across the street for a 10 to 12 min. ride into Venice. I had what they called a single room on the 7th floor. Very clean. Bathroom appeared to have been recently updated. Very quiet room I thought was great for being across the street from the Train Station. Went for a walk each evening around Mestre and was surprised how quiet the streets were. Found a little Chinese restaurant around the corner for one night and it had great food, very reasonable priced. A very small Italian restaurant on second evening (only about 4 tables) Good food and very reasonable. Third evening another Italian restaurant which was right beside the BW Hotel about 1 block from the Tritone and had a great seafood meal. local beer and it was moderately priced but meal was great. All in all the Tritone is a great location, very pleasant front desk people and absolutely outstanding breakfast which is included in your room stay. Coffee could not be any fresher as it is made on the spot for each customer when they arrive. A little on the strong side but sure wakes you up in a hurry.

This hotel was recommended to us by fellow cruise passengers. The location is directly across the street from the train station where trains to Venice (train fare 1Euro each way) run almost every 10 minutes. The hotel staff was very pleasant and most accommodating, Rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed prior to our cruise from Venice. We took a bus from the airport that left us off across the street from the hotel. Hotels in Venice are much more expensive and have smaller rooms, Would not advise taking the train from Mestre to the cruise terminal if you have two or more suitcases.

This is our second stay at this hotel. We spent one night here prior to our transatlantic cruise from Venice to Fort Lauderdale. The staff is friendly, welcoming, full of info and helpful. The rooms are clean, nicely sized for Europe and quiet. The location is great. It is on the bus route from the airport and to Piazza de Roma in Venice and across the street from the train station. The breakfast in the morning is included in the room price and is very good with a wide variety of hot and cold items. Restaurants are close by as are grocery and drug stores. The area is safe. We highly recommend this hotel for those who like Venice but do not want to pay the high prices of the island. Getting to the ship is a snap with a bus/train ride to Piazza Roma and the the People Mover to the Pier. Total Cost 2.3 euros. You will look hard to beat this place.

The hotel is located in Mestre suburb of Venice next to railroad station to Venice within 1 block. The bus to Venice is just around the corner. The time and cost to get to Venice roundtrip is 10 minutes and under 5 Euro. Trains every 10-15 minutes.
Its always difficult to deside if it make sence to stay in Venice or Mestre. I did both versions and I think if you have a car or more than small suitcase - stay in Mestre - you would not drag your suitcase over every step of the bridges, unless your hotel is right on Grand canal. People with 2 medium suitcases going over the bridges in Venice are looking very unhappy - seen too many of them on this trip.
The hotel - good average quality hotel. Not a 4 stars, but a 3 stars. The room was a normal size for 2 people with view of the parking garage. Mestre goverment could do better job cleaning town. Room was clean and everything worked. Bed was on firm side. TV had probably every channel in the world. Internet free and fast. Breakfast was fine with average choice of food. The parking next to hotel is at discount rate. The personnel was friendly and helpful with directions.
