I stayed here as part of a tour which I had paid extra for travelling as a single! My initial impression was disgust. My single room was literally two single bed widths wide so by the time I opened my suitcase I could turn around in a circle and that was it. Added to this was the fact that the one power point in the room was clearly broken. When I spoke to reception about this, they informed me that it was my equipment's fault and sent up concierge to 'fix it'. The concierge then proceeded shove pliers into a live power point to try and rectify the situation which he wasn't able to do.
I then asked to speak to the manager on duty. I was politely told that no one is the manager on the weekend and that I would have to wait until Monday. In the end the Tour Guide was able to step in and at least get me allocated to a new room.
So the quality of the rooms...the original room had paint peeling off the walls and you the coat hangers were too big for the wardrobe so the door couldn't be closed. In my second room which didn't have paint peeling off the walls, the wardrobe was tiny and any clothes hung up draped over the safe. The doors security lock didn't work properly and there were no chains provided.
The safe wasn't even big enough to store my Macbook air and just fit my iPad in it therefore when I was away from the hotel my laptop was left unsecured.
Breakfasts and one dinner were provided as part of our accommodation and needless to say this was truly disappointing. The hot breakfast was in fact cold and the staff were not the least bit interested in providing any help to anyone, clearing tables or ensuring there was space available for guests to sit down.
The dinner provided was absolutely horrid. The servings were absolutely enormous and the staff members were extremely unhelpful and the lady who appeared to be in charge was extremely rude to every member in group. The most tacky part of the even was when she appeared out of the kitchen with the big casserole dish of pasta offering seconds to anyone who would like it.
In terms of the location, yes it is great to be near the station, but to see drug deals going on metres from the front door of your hotel says a lot! Added to this that when I asked staff where I could for a jog/run around the area, they said, oh no you shouldn't do this today, wait until tomorrow. I asked them for a map of the area to which they replied, no we don't have any maps of this area.
Overall my experience with this hotel was disappointing and I wouldn't stay here again!
