“Comfortable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

As part of a land tour of Europe, I stayed overnight at the B4 Hotel in Venezia (Venice). The hotel is very new, clean and modern. The lobby is large and is furnished with ample lounge seating. The staff at the front desk were very warm and proficient in English, which was useful.

Like the lobby, the room is spacious, well-lit and provided for a very comfortable stay. However, there is no wi-fi Internet available in the room – it costs €2/day to hire an Ethernet cable from the front desk. Wi-fi Internet is provided in the lobby but it is not complimentary. Internet was lightning fast. The bathroom in the room is also modern.

Breakfast was only average. Only a small range of food was available – it was akin to a continental breakfast.

Very new and modern. Nice property with "smart" rooms. Great location. The breakfast was not very good and quite expensive so we ate elsewhere. The room needed work (I think it may have been used my a manager or someone when the hotel was being built) -- details were not followed up on for the physical facility (i.e., pipes not topped off or finished, soap dishes loose, etc. But we were happy with the room and a/c -- so we slept just fine. It's definitely a place for large groups -- so as long as all you want to do is sleep there - definitely a place to consider.

Room Tip: Since groups are a big part of this hotel, best to stay farther away from the elevators for quiet.

A little of the beaten tracks but a short train trip in to Venice.
The hotel staff were friendly and well spoken English so that's always a bonus.
The train cost €2.15 each way and the bus cost €2.50 and takes about 30-40 mins.
Finding the train station was not easy as it's small and not sign posted but it's just behind the supermarket to the right, be careful asking locals as they told us there was no train station but since the hotel said there was we kept looking and finally found it :-).
The pizza restaurant opposite the supermarket is very reasonably priced and the staff are very nice.

I liked this hotel. It's very clean. nicely designed and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The rooms are well proportioned, beds comfortable with a lovely cosy bathroom with everything you need. This isn't a "luxury" hotel but for the price it is a very comfortable place to stay. The only let-downs were the fitness centre (small, under-equipped) and the breakfast which considering the high quality of food generally in Italy, was a huge disappointment. However I would definitely stay here again and would probably miss out on the breakfast. Excellent connections to Venice Island (the nearest train station to the hotel is Venezia Mestre Ospedale and is 5 mins walk away, 3 short stops to Venice Santa Lucia for 1 Euro approx) and the area is in an out of town shopping district but is quiet and safe. You can also catch a train to the picturesque city of Verona from here. All in all very happy.

The hotel is comfortable, beautiful and clean. Contrary to some reviews that said the hotel is far from Venice, it is actually near and easy. There is a bus stop nearby to go directly to Venice for about 30mins or you can take the bus to the train station and go to Venice for 5mins at 1.20 euro. There is also a train station nearby to go directly to Venice.

The only minor negative thing is that there's no wifi in the rooms which should have been a standard for a 4 class hotel. But there is wifi in the lobby which costs only 1 euro.

Overall, it's a very modern and nice hotel. I would definitely go back if given the chance.

The hotel interiors are very tastefully done, wifi though not free is inexpensive. Buffet breakfast selection is very limited and the laminated panels on the bathroom is already peeling off.

It did not matter IMO that the hotel is far from the islands.

The hotel was extremely clean, room was big, and the staff very accommodating. We had to take a bus into Venice which took about 45 minutes, then we took the train back to the hotel which only took about 20 minutes. Then we walked back to the hotel which was only a 5 minute walk. Overall, our stay was very nice at this hotel, although the breakfast was overpriced in our opinion. The decorations and style of the hotel were very modern and clean. I cannot emphasize how clean the hotel was. We would definitely return.
