We stayed at Gocce di Capri for 5 night in June 2013 with our children aged 2 years and 2 months. Our apartment was very large (2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 signle beds), clean and with a great view over Capri and the bay. The place has been around for a few years and it starts to show its age: the air conditioning was not working in every room, some handles were a bit wobbly, the gas stove had to be started with matches 'cause the spark-thing was not working anymore...and so on. The staff however was very helpful and fixed in a matter of minutes everything they could (like a missing coffee machine, or issues with tv reception...). Also, we had no internet or mobile phone signal in the apartment.
There is a good and well priced restaurant on site, a swimming pool and movie screenings during the summer (they were just about to start when we left unfortunately).
The location is good and bad at the same time. The views are great, and it's very quiet, but if you plan to do a lot of driving around (we went to Capri, Naples and Pompeii) it's a slow, nerve-wrecking ride through narrow curvy roads before you can get to the highway (or to a "normal" road) - our son was sick almost each time! The other option would be to stay in Sorrento, but considering how busy it is, I'd rather stay up in Massa Lubrense at Gocce di Capri and live with the terrible curvy drive.
If you have small kids, it might be handy to know that some apartments have small gates in the patio so you don't have to watch your kid all the time to make sure he doesn't run away!
