“Good value.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

A little awkward to get to when you are using the unreliable public transport in Venice.
The room was basic but ok, although be aware that it can be a little noisy at night time if you stay in a room near the bar area.

Plus Camping Jolly was awesome. I had a great time and I some great people. We payed a great price for a cool tent that was better than some of the expensive hostels we have stayed in throughout Europe. There was always young people around and well priced drinks! There was good security and if you dont want to stay up late and socialise the camp site is well spread out.

camping jolly was awesome. i stayed there as part of a topdeck tour and it was my favourite place of all.
the facilities are great- the pool, bar, Ciao Bella restaurant and cabins are fantastic.
initially we had a few issues with the air con not working properly, but we found a staff member driving a golf cart and asked him if he knew who to ask to fix it. he was only too happy to help. drove us in the buggy back to our room and fixed it on the spot. all the staff are really friendly and want you to enjoy your stay.
The bar staff are awesome and the drinks are cheap. and the best bit- they free pour! no measuring out a 30ml shot here! so you'll get doubles of everything lol. The restaurant Ciao Bella I great too- cheap, awesome Italian food.
I would definitely stay here again, loved it.

After reading all the reviews here on Trip advisor I wasn’t very sure about the Camping. But it was my only option in Venice, because I decided to visit few days before and the other hotels were muchhhh more expensive!
So, I booked a “bungalow” for 3 nights. Finding the place was really hard specially because we took the wrong bus… We didn’t pay attention and ended up taking 6/ and not 6! But luckly (because it's rare!) someone on the bus knew where the camping was and explained to us. I suggest you do a little googling before hand… because only with the instructions given by the hotel it can be tricky to find.
As we arrived we really enjoyed the feeling of the place. The restaurant was open, the front desk was quick and efficient. Our bungalow was also very ok. 2 single beds (there was a 3rd one, but I think for 3 adults it would be too tight!!) and also a bathroom. Everything was very clean.
Based on this experience we decided to extend our stay for another 3 days (and explore the region of Veneto). But then we need to change rooms and it wasn’t so good as the first. In theory they were exactly the same, but this one was really close to the road and also the neighbors were really noisy next door, which made it really hard to sleep.
In general the Camping has some really good things like: free internet (even though not very fast on the pc they provide… but it’s free), small market with some BASIC items, a pub that has fair prices and every other day a DJ, and a restaurant that is very affordable and the food was really good (unfortunately we only went there on our last night!). The atmosphere was also very nice… many families with babys, kids and grampas/mas on their 70s.
The bad things: just like any other budget hotel it’s a matter of luck… If you are a picky person, with sleeping issues it can be harder for you. But if you are used to hostels it’s fine!!! Much better than regular hostels . But the WORST for me was the stupid shuttle service! You can only buy the tickets in the hostel, so you have to be already there!!! When you arrive with your luggage you have to take the bus and walk 10/15min. Also, you buy the shuttle with a pre determined time to go and return. So, it didn’t seem like a good deal… We were fine with the bus (that was included in our HELLOVENICE card) and walking until the hotel… The area is very residential and we never felt threatened or scared.

My friend and I were very unlucky with the room we got. Our air conditioning did not work for a few hours and we had no hot water at all so we had very cold showers over the two nights we stayed here. Room was clean but that is the most positive thing I have to say about the room. Wifi did not work while we were there. Would recommend for young travellers who aren't too fussed about where they sleep!

A very nice place! swimming pools, a bad, restaurant, general shop, the place had everything very hard to fault it... However using the wifi was similar to going back 15 years and using dial-up and the hourly shuttle bus to Venice was good but you had to book which times you want to go AND return on, which its very difficult to predict how long you want to spend in the city...

We stayed here from 12 - 14 June 2012 and it was great! It wasn't anything fancy but we needs luxury when you are out all day? They had an awesome bar and restaurant as well as Shop where you can buy everything you need.
