“out of this world”

Oasi Beach

my boyfriend and i have just come back from a truly amazing holiday to lake garda. we chose this hotel as it has had some very good reveiws, and it did not disappoint. we flew into verona with ryanair (cheap cheap cheap) and the hotel organised for a low shuttle bus to collect us for 10 euros per person and take us direct to the hotel. the drive is a pleasant one, but it does take some time. the drive to the hotel took about 90 mins or so, but the scenery gets better and better as you drive along.

we arrived at the hotel to be greeted by Christina (the owner's daughter) who was very friendly on emails and was very lovely in person. our room was lovely, spacious, clean and tidy and the view was out of this world. the hotel is set in the mountains and all the rooms face the view of the lake. behind the hotel is more land and trees and another mountain. the room has a mini bar which is excellently priced, for example a large glass of wine was 3 euros....

we were on the first floor and the balcony was very big and the view amazing. i personally would recommend staying on this floor as the balconies on the floor above were a little smaller.

the walk to the lake is about 30 secs, it is on the doorstep of the hotel. it really was a truly magical stay and we are planning on going back agian next year after their refurb (they are a new hotel and are now refurbing to build more rooms and a pool).

breakfast was lovely and the afternoon bar was good. this closed at 8pm adn then guests could have another drink in the evening bar.

the only downside of this was that we didnt have car, and there are only a few places to eat in walking distance (4 to be precise). most also do not speak English so bring a phrase book!!!

If you are thinking of going here just do it, it is amazing and it makes a refreshing change to other hotels we have stayed in. we felt really welcomed by them and cant wait to go again!x

I have just returned from a superb week's holiday in Malcesine, on Lake Garda, in what must be the most perfect hotel setting imaginable. We got there around 1am, so had the added advantage of waking up to the surprisingly spectacular sight of the lake, right in front of our lovely terrace, with the mountains soaring above. Our room was immaculate, the bathroom and all other fitments beautiful, and scrupulously clean. There was also a well stocked, and extremely reasonably priced mini-bar.
Cristina and her Father, who own the hotel are the perfect hosts. I had corresponded direct with the hotel through e-mail, following excellent reviews in 'tripadvisor', and found that she was as helpful and friendly in person as she appeared to be on e-mail.
I developed a bad throat infection when I was there, and Cristina brought me tea in bed, plus her father took me to the local Pharmacy to get anti-biotics! When we asked about getting take-away pizza one night, Cristina's father took the order, then proceeded to drive to the place and deliver the pizzas himself! He even brought them up in a tray for us to our room.
The breakfast was wonderful, with freshly squeezed orange juice, and a terrific selection of fresh rolls and bread, cold meats, juices, cereal and cakes - too many items to mention individually!
The only very very slight disadvantage I felt was the location. The hotel was 5km from Malcesine, and we seemed to be the only people all the time we were there who didn't have a car. The local bus was never on time, and stopped running around 8.30pm, and in addition to this, the taxis from Malcesine were expensive. This, however was the only tiny fly in the ointment of a fantastic holiday, with a beautiful hotel, wonderful hosts, and a magical lake setting.
If you are considering this hotel, just go. You will find it is worth it, and as tripadvisor says, 'get the truth, then go!!'

“Loved everything about this hotel”

Very comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel. Lovely room with fantastic view of Lake Garda. Balcony with chairs so you can sit and take in the view. Large, comfortable bed, excellent lighting, flat screen TV and well stocked, reasonably priced mini bar. Spotless, good sized bathroom with everything necessary provided. Breakfast was a real highlight, there is a buffet with lots of good things to choose from - a variety of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruits, cold meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, a variety of breads and pastries, honeys and jams. They also offered bacon and eggs! You are asked if you would like freshly squeezed orange juice, ( we did) and there are other fruit juices should you prefer them. The coffee was very good and they were happy to bring you more if you wanted it.

The hotel is family run and the members of staff we met were all very pleasant and helpful. We were made to feel extremely welcome. One of our party wanted to use the internet and this was happily made available at minimal cost.

The hotel is situated about 3km out of Malcesine and you really need a car to get in and out. This was not a problem as it was easy to park in Malcesine and we preferred to return at night to the quieter location of the hotel.

We were really impressed with this hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We have just returned from this simply beautiful hotel. The room and bathroom were very spacious. The decor, though simple, was very chic!

The buffet breakfast was served by Christina, the owner's daughter, who spoke English very well. Freshly squeezed orange juice was just one of the many surprises at breakfast. From fruit salad, fresh fruit, meats, pate, cheese, cakes, pastries..........you name it, it was offered, and was plentiful.

I have only one negative, and that is that the hotel is quite a bit out of Malcesine. However, the bus stops just outside, and runs quite regularly.

For a relaxing holiday in a truly beautiful location, I would have no qualms about recommending the Oasi Beach Hotel in Malcesine.

Went to Lake Garda at the end of May 06. Having never been before we didn't really know what to expect. We fly into Brescia airport with Ryanair, hired a car then drove to Malcesine (about 60-90 min drive). I had done loads of research on all the main hotels around Lake Garda, but this one stuck out in reviews as being consistently good. We were not disappointed at all. Location is great - right opposite the lake. Every room has a balcony with excellent lake & mountain views. The building is 2 years old and in excellent order. Our room was a very good size, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Bathroom was also very good with a powerful shower. This hotel appears family run, and the staff are extremely freindly and helpful, and speak English. The breakfast is continental style, but was excellent. Buffet style - east as much as you like. They will also cook eggs and bacon if you ask.
I would say you'd ideally need a car to make the most of Lake Garda, as there is so much to see. Venice is only a 90 min drive away too - well worth a day trip.
The only slight negative about the location of this hotel is that there is only one restaurant within walking distance. But there are 2-3 resorts within a 5-10 drive which feature many lakeside restaurants.
Having stayed at many different hotels all over the world, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Everything was right.
Well done!!
