my boyfriend and i have just come back from a truly amazing holiday to lake garda. we chose this hotel as it has had some very good reveiws, and it did not disappoint. we flew into verona with ryanair (cheap cheap cheap) and the hotel organised for a low shuttle bus to collect us for 10 euros per person and take us direct to the hotel. the drive is a pleasant one, but it does take some time. the drive to the hotel took about 90 mins or so, but the scenery gets better and better as you drive along.
we arrived at the hotel to be greeted by Christina (the owner's daughter) who was very friendly on emails and was very lovely in person. our room was lovely, spacious, clean and tidy and the view was out of this world. the hotel is set in the mountains and all the rooms face the view of the lake. behind the hotel is more land and trees and another mountain. the room has a mini bar which is excellently priced, for example a large glass of wine was 3 euros....
we were on the first floor and the balcony was very big and the view amazing. i personally would recommend staying on this floor as the balconies on the floor above were a little smaller.
the walk to the lake is about 30 secs, it is on the doorstep of the hotel. it really was a truly magical stay and we are planning on going back agian next year after their refurb (they are a new hotel and are now refurbing to build more rooms and a pool).
breakfast was lovely and the afternoon bar was good. this closed at 8pm adn then guests could have another drink in the evening bar.
the only downside of this was that we didnt have car, and there are only a few places to eat in walking distance (4 to be precise). most also do not speak English so bring a phrase book!!!
If you are thinking of going here just do it, it is amazing and it makes a refreshing change to other hotels we have stayed in. we felt really welcomed by them and cant wait to go again!x
