I’ll write this review in english because I know the area is very often attended by tourist coming from UK or other countries. Well, if you want a taste of what the typical italian cousine is, just stop by this restaurant. The location is peaceful, on the hills of Abruzzo, the place is quite big and it’s both restaurant and hotel. I’ve never slept there, but I ate here a few times. It’s just about as good as it could get, the structure is very clean, the waiters are kind and professional but not in the way that puts you in an uncomfortable position, you get familiarity and nice behaviour. The dishes are absolutely perfect, starting with the appetizers, the fresh ham, cutted in front of your eyes in the hall(and then you see the waiter carefully cleaning the slicer), fried cheese, lamb’s liver, spelt salad and many other things are absolute joy for your pleasure. We took two different pastas, the classical, but always amazing, “chitarrina” and another fine cooked pasta with mushrooms and some sort of bacon. The meat we had after these was good, I coulnd’t pick something in particular because I was in a table with 10 other people, so we had various pieces of meat. These were accompainied with potatoes cooked on the oven, in two ways. We also got the salad and some extraordinary seasonal vegetables, they were really amazing, incredibly and weirdly maybe they were the thing I preferred! An excellent place to eat, to taste the true italian hospitality and cousine. You won’t be disappointed!
