We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Hotel del Lido and couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel was practically deserted as the season is not yet in full swing there and that was an added plus for us since it felt as if we had the entire hotel to ourselves. Our stay began rather bumpy as the front desk didn't have any record of our reservation but when we produced our papers things were smoothly from that point on. The rooms were comfortable despite being fairly generic and had plenty of closet space but lacked any sort of character whatsoever...however the wifi worked excellent and the BIG walkin shower was a definite plus. The rooms have big floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that look onto the interior patio just before the private beach so there may be privacy issues for some but it is easy to draw the curtain over the window or leave it open as we did and enjoy the sea breeze and view to town. Our breakfast every morning was abundant...coffee to order...hot and cold items as welll many pastries and cheeses and breads and juices. Couldn't really ask for a better breakfast. The hotel is relatively smallish and only offers 10 + rooms but has a beach club that's attached so i can imagine this place to be a rather crowded place in high season but for us in early May it was simply heaven.
