5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

The complex consists of Duomo, Plazza, Archbishop Palace, and other baroqe buildings, that create a charming picture of and return visitor to the 16 and 17 centuries. It worth a cessation and short thimking about past.

“Bellissima”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Lecce is one of the most beautiful Baroque cities I have ever visited. This city is so beautiful, the architecture , the roman amphitheater in the middle of the city , the baroque churches are second to none. This city is so full of culture in Italy is known as the Florence of the south.
Lecce is a city that needs to be walked to be really appreciated. One of the other attractions of the city is the papier- mâché the works of art that can be admired in the local shops are incredible.
The food is as good as you going to find anywhere in southern Italy and the negroamaro( local wine) is also worth tasting
Check some of the local vineyards for a tasting of the wine with a pairing of burrata and caciocavallo. I truly believe this city was the icing on the cake on my last trip to Italy

“A must see when in Southern Italy...the cathedral and its surrounding square”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

The cathedral itself its beautifull with its high campanile ans rich external ans indice décoration. Yet the masterwork is the baroque square arround the cathédral itself, a wonderfull theatrical play that belongs to Européens best urbain squares, not so much as four its, rather, small size as four its great integrated and closed architecture.

“carved columns”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Lecce is famous for a particular kind of stone. In this church you can see why. The columns are beautifully carved. Never seen a thing like that before.
