“AMAZING rooms and SO CHEAP!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

I have stayed in many hotels in my time and this is probably up there in the top 3 hotels I've stayed at and considering the price we paid! Service is excellent, you're already in centro storico so no need to worry about public transport. Lecce as a town is gorgeous and best viisted in the months of June.

It is very amazing to get into this hotel, it is in the center of the historical sites in Lecce.
It was almost the end of our holidays and we got a nice and clean room .

The staff is nice and helpful.

Breakfast was okay....nothing special!

We stayed here over the Christmas holidays. Location is perfect for exploring the beautiful historical center. As others have said, if you are driving it is not easy to find, even with navigation due to one-way and restricted streets. You should plan to arrive between 2 and 4pm when shops are closed and the streets are mostly empty. No one will notice if you happen to make a wrong turn and the streets will be easier to navigate. :-) Staff and service are what you expect in a 5* hotel. Always kind and helpful. Breakfast is very good. Dinner is quite expensive for the quality -- there are other choices nearby which offer a better value for the same or less price.
Our room was adequate, but certainly not luxurious. More of a 3+* with a need for a facelift. No one explained the lights or tv system which were strange. Bathroom was a major disappointment - one small sink, no space for toiletries, the toilet did not flush properly (it ran constantly because the flusher stuck) and the bidet was uncomfortably too close to the wall due to lack of space. The shower is very large. They should have used some of that space for the rest of the bathroom! It is also time to change the robes.
The "spa" is also a bit strange and small. You need to make an appointment to use the sauna (steam only), and there are only two loungebeds in a very small, sterile room. When we arrived for our appointed time, there were dirty dishes left on a tray in the relaxing room, and no one was at the desk. We cleaned up, turned on some music (went behind the desk to do it) and made ourselves some tea. Again an oversize shower whose space could have been better planned/used otherwise.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

I have been to Lecce several times, and this was the best hotel I found. My room (a standard one) was spacious, with adequate space and light for working. Good breakfast and nice bathroom. Reception staff extremely friendlly and helpful. Very good location. However, I have a few doubts on the cleanliness of the bathroom: I found some spots on the bathroom marbles, which I think shouldn't be found in a hotel which claims five stars (I'm not talking about permanent stains: I successfully removed some of them, while trying to investigate the nature of it). On the other hand the bed was clean and comfortable. All in all I can assign four out of five.

Set in the hearth of the wanderful Lecce the hotel is beautiful, people genuinely smiles at you and makes you really feel welcomed at any step. Had the great chance to get room 101 with an amazing terrace ( think 50 or 60 sqmt). Called for breakfast and in 5 min it was in my room.

Spent four nights here in September. It is a pleasure to walk out the front door and be steps from the very heart of enchanting Lecce. Hotel staff was helpful in every regard, offering directions and suggestions - but not especially friendly. (The concierge, however, had patiently made (and changed) a number of restaurant reservations for us before our arrival.) Our room with a sitting area was clean, well appointed and well lighted. Plenty of storage space. Very good stall shower. Excellent buffet breakfast with local specialties and perfect coffee. The doorman found on-street parking for us every night - no charge, no tickets. However, driving to the hotel through the old city was an adventure every time. A car is NOT an asset in the old town. The only downside. I'd say, is the hotel's lack of charm - made up for by a very comfortable stay with no hitches whatsoever. And Lecce is a GEM!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in September. We did find it difficult to find so I'd suggest printing out the detailed online directions since our Garmin GPS did a poor job of navigating us. The hotel is modern and beautifully decorated. We had a suite and it was lovely. It had a private balcony, whirlpool tub, large shower and large bathroom. There was a sizeable closet, large bedroom with big screen tv and a separate living area with desk. We had one dinner at the hotel and it was excellent as was breakfast each morning. The hotel is very nicely located if you want to wander around Lecce, a very beautiful baroque city. You'd have no need for a car. The hotel also had a great little spa. There was a small relaxation room and a sizeable steam room. I had a treatment which was well done. The spa is by appointment only so you cannot simply go up to the spa and steam whenever you'd like. Even for using the steam room, you must book ahead which is a bit different. They should warn guests as my husband and I arrived at the spa only to find the door locked. Regading other amenities, free wifi was available in the lobby and there was a free computer guests could use. It would be great if the hotel considered free wifi in the rooms, rather than guests having to go down to the lobby every time we think of something we'd like to check online, like a restaurant recommendation, etc. Overall, though, we'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone interested in staying in Lecce.

Room Tip: Suites are as beautiful as the photos online.
