My boyfriend and I stayed in Iseo for one night in July 2012. I chose this restaurant as it was the top restaurant on Trip Advisor and I was not disappointed.
We popped into the restuarant early evening to make a reservation for later. They could only fit us it at 9:45pm, which was not a problem as we'd had a late lunch.
When we returned that evening, we were led to a table on the outside patio, which must have only sat 20-30 people. The inside seating wasn't being used at all - I assume that is saved for when the weather is colder. It was a beautful and intimate setting - the tables were nicely spaced and it did not feel at all crowded.
We both had a primo (first, pasta course) and secondo. The courses were nicely sized so it was possible to have both (I have been to many Italian restaurants where the primo is a hefty meal in itself, and it's impossible to manage another course afterwards). I had smoked tuna ravioli for primo, and my other half had fish taglioni. For secondo I had salmon in orange sauce, and my boyfriend had a selection of three fish different fish fillets - both were served with creamy mash potato. For dessert my boyfriend had tiramisu, which was not traditional tiramisu but a combination of sponge, custard and strawberries (he was a bit disappointed by this but that's his own fault for not reading the menu properly - I thought it was delicious!).
All the dishes were beautfully cooked with really simple and delicate tastes. I think the smoked tuna ravioli is one of the best things I have ever tasted. To accompany them, we had a bottle of white wine (the wine of the week) and mineral water.
Total cost came to just under 70 euros - for two courses each, one dessert, a bottle of wine and a bottle of mineral water. I thought this was excellent value considering the quality of the food, the setting, and the lovely service.
