“A Great Hilton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

This is a grand style Hilton, which has a large lobby with stucco paintings and grand lights with great piped music- it could easily be in Vegas!
It is large and spacious with equally spacious and well appointed rooms.
The main restaurant/breakfast room is spacious and unhurried yet the service is swift and attentive and you enjoy great views over the sea.
The staff are extremely helpful and obliging.
I would commend this to anyone who enjoys a traditional grand style hotel!

Nice Hotel. I stayed in family room 5150. Spacious. Lovely sea view. Everything clean and tidy if a little bit old fashioned- but we liked that. Breakfast good enough- plenty of choice.
Staff impeccable.
Try the bars across the street for evening food -not badly priced and reasonably good standard.
Hotel is a little out from Giardini but a nice walk. Taormina a must and bus close by.

My first trip to Sicily and this hotel was fabulous. Nice rooms with great views, lovely pool, delicious breakfast - no complaints. Close to some delicious restaurants - the one across the street with spaghetti in the name was fabulous, but all were good.

We recently stayed here for several nights for the last part of our vacation. It was a great way to end on a high note. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and modern. Nice breakfast buffet included with beautiful views of the beach. Lovely pool area right on the beach. Staff knowledgable, professional and friendly, especially Thea in the gift shop and Linda at the front desk. We stayed in room 4115 on the corner so our balcony had a 2 sided view of the beach. Also, there are large picture windows in the hallways with great views of Mt. Etna. We got a great haircut at the salon. Highly recommend this hotel for a luxury in Giardini Naxos area.

Room Tip: 4115 corner balcony room

An enormous building in true OTT US Hilton style. Situated directly on the beach and with its own pool area its a great place to relax & listen to the waves rolling up the beach.
Rooms are huge as are the beds, good bathroom facilities and bedding (including mattress toppers). decor is OTT as are the furnishings but in a nice 'opulent' sort of way.

As with all Hiltons the extras are where they make their money, so whilst the room value is great the bar & restaurants are expensive. Wi-Fi foolishly is still chargeable by the hour, (albeit they offer 90 mins free in the lobby) mobile coverage within the hotel is poor so we had to get a room change to receive & make calls.

Overall I like the atmosphere although Sicilian / Italian front of house staff trying to deliver the 'American Customer Care' mission can be a quite strange experience :)

If you don't want to take a risk with local operators and prefer a US home grown flavour, then definitely book here, great value per square metre.

The resort was nice overall with spacious rooms and a great view of the sea. We had room 6148 and it was a family room with 2 queen beds. We had 3 adults and there was plenty of room. There is a sofabed in the room although we didn't end up using it because my wife and I were able to fit in a queen.

The cleanliness of the rooms was acceptable and the mini fridge was nice because it had room for our own beverages too. The safe was big enough for my 15" MacBook Pro laptop (as long as you put it in at an angle). The wifi Internet had several issues throughout our 5 day stay so that wasn't great. The computer that generated the free wifi access codes for hhonor members kept going down so we ended up just buying Internet and they took it off the room at checkout.

Other notes:
We were upgraded to the family size room for free since I'm Gold in hhonors.

We wanted to PAY for corner or superior suite but there is a silly rule that limits occupancy to 2 adults. (Even though they offer rollaways in the rooms) that rule doesn't make sense to us.

Overall a great place to stay. Be sure to eat at the restaurants across the street. We tried them all and they were affordable and tasty. Also be sure to walk to Giardini Naxos to shop, eat and see beautiful views. IF POSSIBLE, go on a tour to TAORMINA!! We did it and was best part of the trip! It's the city in the mountains you see when you're in Giardini Naxos.

Magnificent setting and position. A1.80 Euro bus journey to Taormina.
Style is 60 ish but staff get accolades for cleanliness and professionalism.
Reception were fibulas and very helpful with suggestions.
Bar staff friendly and warm.
Thought no bar service (or food) around the pool a poor management call.
Breakfast over charge. Hotel 40 euro for two. Across road 10 - 20 euros.

Room Tip: All room look over sea
