“"worn out,smelly and crusty."”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014

Recently stayed here in this so called "hotel" on a school trip. When we entered the hotel there was a horrible musty smokey smell. All the furniture was outdated. We got our keys and went in the elevator. The elevator was creepy it was like a match box, you could barley fit anyone in. The rooms were a joke. Three single beds squeezed together. The blankets were worn out, smelly and crusty. There was no tv and no wifi. The bathroom had no lock and no shower curtain! There was an unnecessary giant wardrobe which took up a lot of the room. The towels were disgusting! They had stains on them and they smelled! Good thing I bought my own towel and face cloth. The dinner was edible..It was the same thing everyday. Stale salad and pasta. For the main course it was a strange meat and chips and for dessert it was weird fruit salad in a horrible syrup. And you had to pay 1euro for water, 2euro for fake coke and fake Fanta and you were not allowed bring in drinks with you!! Breakfast was ok. There was two types of cereal, Orange juice, yogurt, roles and hard boiled eggs. Overall it was an absolute joke. I do not understand how it is a hotel, it should be classed as a hostel. I would not recommend staying here, EVER!!!

I recently stayed in this Hotel. To be honest having read the reviews here I was expecting the destination from hell. Firstly stating the obvious, the hotel is a bit dated and basic. I was there on a school trip like another of the reviewers. The welcome we got from Luigi and his mother was heartfelt and genuine. The hotel was spotlessly clean. I had brought my own towel as I was expecting them not to be very good. They were perfectly clean and not as shown in the picture. We were on an half board package. It was perfectly adequate. The breakfasts were fine and the evening meals were okay also. The hotel is very central in Garda and close to all the amenities. In short you pay for what you get. It is a perfectly clean adequate hotel. it is not the Ritz and it does not pretend to be.

Went here on a school trip during march of 2013 and stayed in this terrible hotel for 5 days. Good thing we were out sightseeing every day from about 9am to 7pm. in the morning we would eat breakfast in the restaurant it was self service very basic yogurt, stale bread and cereal. Sadly we ate our dinner in the restaurant for the whole trip we had the same food every night if anyone wanted a drink eg water, cola or fizzy orange it cost €1 for a half filled glass. The rooms were very dark and musty and old. No tv, lucky to have electricity! and the rooms were freezing, No shower curtain in the bathroom or lock so when having a shower the water would seep under the door. The beds were disgusting, dirty sheets with stains on them even on the pillow cases!! . Verdict: Don't stay in this hotel only if last option.

Generally this Hotel is "what you pay is what you get" - This has the potential to be a brilliant Hotel if it was updated and a little TLC. The room was clean with fresh towels and sheets every few days. Rooms could do with repainting also roof garden needs new sunbeds and parasols as it can get very hot in the afternoon. Overall we had no complaints as the staff friendly and Mama seemed to be around all the time. It was just a short walk from the lake which did make it a little quieter (which was good) than if you stayed on the front.

Good Afternoon, we have just arrived back from Lake Garda, im so pleased. We found that the resort had been so so over rated, dont get me wrong , amazing views, but just full of restaurants and shops, there are some amazing buildings there, but they are hidden by those massive gazebos, now for the locals, ive never met a ruder bunch, very arrogant, no manners and it appeared that you were putting them out by spending time at their bars etc. We went to one shop, ran out of cash so wanted to pay by card, the lady went mad, threatened to call police if we didn't pay by cash, and spoke to us in what can only be described as very rude, she took payment then threw the card on the table, why...We wont be going back, not worth what we paid
Now hotel Miravalli, be warned, very very basic,no tea coffee etc, beds like camp beds and the walls had stains on, however it does if all you need is a base, its a family run place and the lady is very sweet, very sweet, breakfast is poor.
Lazisa is fab, well worth a visit, but be warned, there are no places to exchange English notes to euros in italy, the bank teller told us that the banks no longer do this, only the airport or odd place ,we saw one in venice and in the uk you get 1.11odd euro to the pound, they were offering 0.76 to the pound, you have been warned, make sure you go well funded in euros or with card, all in all very disappointing, shame, its so over rated

Room Tip: we stayed in a hotel for 2 nights on the front overlooking the lake, for the 2 nights didn't get...

I read all the reviews before I went so I was prepared for the Miravalli. Very hot, very noisy so had little sleep for 3 nights. Mama is charming but the whole place needs some tlc. Thomson need to have a serious think about how much they are charging for this, I doubt if the hotel sees much of it. I got my stay on a last minute deal but had I been paying full price Thomson would be getting a complaint. It could be sooo much better with a little investment. The location is fabulous, rooms clean and adequate but for a full price deal I would upgrade to another hotel.

With the heat, the noise from the restaurants nearby, we couldn't sleep. With no sleep, no enjoyable holiday.
One NEEDS to speak Italian! We had to ask for more toilet paper. To do this, take down the empty roll!
