The hotel was recommended by a colleague and it was ideal for us (a couple) as a base to explore the area. Its very clean and is only a short walk from the lake shore. The hotel can arrange trips - we went to the opera in Verona, and there are scheduled transfers to local markets. The only negative, and its not a strong one, is that any drinks that you order at the pool or in the restaurant in the evening have to be paid for on the spot with cash. You don't run up a bill which you settle by card at the end of the stay. This cash payment also extends to deposits (refundable) which you need for the safe key, pool towels, and the remote for the air con. So for us, we were cleared out of cash on the first day as the opera also was paid in cash. I expect to go back to Garda in a few years and would not hesitate to book this hotel again.
