We stayed 3 years in a row at this hotel. TIP: always book a room with a lake view, its worth paying the extra to avoid the noisey road at the back. No air conditioning, but we didn't feel we needed it 2004/2005 & 2006. Table and chairs supplied on the balcony.

Continental Breakfast: ham & cheese, croisants, bread rolls, boiled eggs & cereals.

Superb location, rooms clean & tidy but a bit dated. Lakeside terrance with lovely views of the lake. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Approx 10 minutes walk to the shops, ferry & bus terminal, which most of the organised trips leave from.

We hope to return in a fews years time, when we have sampled some more of the world! L+B

As we turn the corner and walked to the hotel our first impression was 'what a great location' which it is. The interior has seen better days but is clean. The porter was a very helpful. Our room was small but the beds were very comfortable. A chair would have been great. Our room 6 was at the back of the hotel overlooking the hills and the main road. We opened the door and the noise was unbearable, imagine a motorway under your bedroom window. We had to sleep with the door/window shut and the shutters closed even then we could not have a conversation, the heat was terrible as they do not have air conditioning. Mosquitoes were also a problem.
We asked if we could move to the front of the hotel but were told that no rooms were available, even though we knew they were, and a sign outside displayed the fact.
The breakfast was continental, eggs, thin cheese/ham etc.
Great location if the owner spent some money on sound proofing/aircon and a general refurb it would be a great place to stay.

Have been to Garda town on Lake Garda 4 times now and love it. This trip however we chose the Hotel Conca D'Ora because it only served B & B allowing us to eat in the many and fantastic restaurants in the town.
The Hotel was small and at 1st glance appeared to have seen better days but it was very clean (essential according to my wife) , the bed was very comfortable.
Critisisms - no air-conditioning (this was easily rectified by a trip to an electrical shop to buy a cheap fan for around £18 euros)
no TV (not a problem for us)
For a cheap hotel in a great resort we found this to be ideal
