Anywhere else and this place would be an average hotel in need of a renovation. The rooms are nice but small and the shower had a mind of its own. But the location is absolutely fantastic and people come from across Lake Garda just to have a drink or a bite to eat at the bar. The mini harbour is lovely and the private pool is just superb. A great getaway from the busy touristy roads around Lake Garda. Hotel Manager Adriano always seems stressed but he went out of his way to make our stay wonderful.

The hotel is right on the lake side and the views are breathtaking. We stayed in the Limonaia suite which is located in a seperate bungalow in the grounds of a lemon grove. It has its own garden and is totally private. Although there are no views of the lake, it is very pretty. There is however, no internet access and television channels are limited.The hotel has a lovely harbour, pool and taverna but no lounge to speak of. Breakfast is taken in the restaurant which has a beautiful loggia so that you feel you are dining right over the water. It is worthy of note that the hotel is geared totally for the German market. It is expensive and we were disappointed that things such as wifi had to be paid for and there was a cover charge for dining in the restaurant.. The staff are helpful but can be scarce at times. If you are looking for 5 star service and luxury this is not the place for you but if you are looking for somewhere different, romantic with exceptional views and a relaxed ambiance, you will not be disappointed.

This is a well appointed hotel in what is otherwise a busy area. The jetty bar is a great way to enjoy the lake but, being open to non residents too, can get crowded. The garden is only for residents and a lot quieter. Breakfast and dinner on the loggia overlooking the lake was spectacular. We stayed in room 12 which was well appointed with a great en-suite bathroom (make sure you differentiate between en-suite and private, which may be another room) but, having an internal rather than lake view, was a little dark. Emma on reception is very helpful; sending us on an item we had left behind in our room. Tip: If you're unsteady on cobbles, ask for the buggy to pick you up at the top if the drive - it's a precarious walk down.

This is a very small hotel with only a few rooms in a historic building, just by the lake of Garda. We had a double overlooking the small port. The room is spacious and decorated with antiques. Only the bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were a bit of a joke... A truly unique setting, very quiet and romantic. The staff is very helpful as you would expect. The restaurant, where also breakfast is served is just by the waterside.I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romantic getaway in a quiet location.
