“Perfect Hotel in a Beautiful Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

This hotel is situated right on the front of the Lake. We booked through the hotel direct and found them perfect to deal with as they organised transfers to and from the airport. On arrival we were met with a complimentary glass of wine and shown to our room. We booked the Deluxe room with lake view and it was exactly as described, perfect and very spacious. The bathroom was ideal with a large shower and plenty space. Breakfast was very good and served in the conservatory at the front of the hotel. We ate one night at the hotel and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Claudia at the hotel gave us good advice on day trips. The hotel being at the southern end of the lake is ideal for getting to the trains to Venice (1/2 hr bus journey) and the bus station is within easy walking distance (2 minutes). Everything within Garda itself is within easy walking distance of the hotel. Of all the hotels we walked past during our time in Garda I would say that Vittoria looks the nicest, the staff were wonderful and I would urge anyone looking to go to Garda to consider this one. Thoroughly recommended!

As a note for an excellent day out - we hired bicycles for a day and took a cycle run from Garda along the lake to Bardalino and Lazise which is a nice gentle cycle with plenty cafes and bars along the route.

Wonderful holiday, thanks to Claudia and all the staff.

Had a lovely few days in this charming little hotel on the lake. It has a new yet old feel and the view right on the lake was so pretty. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had dinner the first night there and while the food was good it was not great. The fish was just a little under enthusiastic and the contorni were bland and soggy. The dessert was delicious-choclate mousse and rich chocolate cake. Would recommend this hotel for a couple looking for a short break. We rented bikes and walked by the lake and enjoyed the little town and a super little restaurant nearby. Great spot to enjoy a Garda weekend. Many thanks

Rooms were bright, spacious and elegant, as was the whole hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us, from advising on trips, helping with transport, or just making our stay as enjoyable as possible. Food also delicious. Thank you to all the staff at La Vittoria.

This charming hotel is perfectly located at the quieter end of Garda, yet still steps away from shopping and a wide selection of restaurants. Although, eating anywhere but the hotel restaurant proved to be a poor choice! The food was wonderful, and the romantic ambiance in the dining room was the perfect touch. The staff was friendly, breakfast was wonderful, and the lakefront location was more than ideal. The room was very clean, roomy and comfortable, with a large, lovely bathroom. Would definitely recommend this for a romantic getaway!

My stay at the Hotel La Vittoria was a huge disappointment. I upgraded my room on last minute.com to a Lake View Superior room. On arrival we were given one of the few rooms without a Lake View. The reception informed us that the view of the lake could be seen if we 'popped' our heads out of the window. Unbelievable! We thought she was joking as she was grinning when she said this. After seeing the room and the 'view' we strolled back to reception to inform them that maybe the Lake had been moved, at this point the lady stopped grinning then informed me that all Lake view rooms were fully booked & she couldn't offer us a 'proper' lake view room and that "NO WAY" could we be in any way compensated as this was the fault of lastminute.com.
Talking to other guests we were informed that ALL 4 lake view rooms were taken as upgrades on check-in which is probably why we had no lake view. Putting the customer who have pre-booked 2nd is not good customer service. Whatever they may tell you, having to open a window & pop your head out looking 90 degrees to see a 'bit' of the Lake is not a 'Lake View' Maybe I'm being fussy or maybe I need to grow a kneck like a giraffe. Other than that the hotel is OK.

Room Tip: dont trust lastminute.com when they promise 'lake view'

Stayed at this hotel in June and it was a fabulous experience. The hotel is right on the lakeside, in the midst of all the bars and restaurants. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the staff really friendly and helpful. The ferry dock is only a minute or two easy walk along the lakeside, and the same distance for access to the shops.
The market arrives in Garda on a Thursday, and sets up all along the lakeside in front of the hotels from early until about 1pm so you can step out of the hotel right into the bustle of the market, then easily take your bargains back to the Hotel and enjoy peace and quiet, and a great coffee! The hotel also serves evening meals which can be taken at tables on the lakeside, and the standard of the food is excellent. I particularly recommend the lasagne (not the usually mush we are used to in England), and the fillet steak. This is complimented particularly well with a bottle of the Valpolicella Marianne. The restaurant is also an emote a, so the wines in general are varied and of good quality. Al in all, a fabulous place to eat and stay.

Of the four hotels in which we stayed on our vacation in Italy, this was the best. It is clean and comfortable. The staff is wonderful , from the owners to the wait staff. They were all so nice and made our stay very special. The breakfasts were great. And the location!!! The view from our room was extraordinary, we could sit on the balcony for hours, if we weren't strolling the streets of the town. The restaurant in the evening was terrific, so nice to sit by the lake on a warm evening. There are ot enough adjectives to say how much we enjoyed our stay here.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view when booking. Room 7 was fantastic!
