Just spent 5 nights here and staff and service was excellent as well as pool and breakfast.

Sure it's a very expensive stay at over £600 per night for 2 rooms but have to say the whole thing was brilliant.

Dont expect big rooms or fantastic bathrooms but location and the whole feel of the resort being chic Italian makes up for any short comings.

In addition to the previously mentioned positives such as location, view, breakfast, and staff, I would add:

*beautiful marble bathroom with strong water pressure and plentiful towels.
*good lighting for reading in bed.
*ample storage for clothing and suitcases.
*reasonably priced soft drinks and water in mini-bar.
*good air-conditioning and ceiling fan for comfortable sleeping.
*generous drinks (with snacks) at the bar.

All in all, Forte is delightful and the Negresco a solid choice for a happy, comfortable vacation.

In a perfect location across from the ocean, easy ten minute walk to town center and ideal for long walks along the promenade. Our room was typically European small but with a balcony large enough for table chairs and two chaise. The hotel has a certain elegance, pleasant staff, excellent breakfast, good pool area. Weak wi-fi of course but thats the norm just about everywhere we stay. We would stay here again which says it all.

We visited as a family of five. The interconnecting rooms worked really well for our family. As some of the reviews said the rooms are small, but this is not unusual for hotels in this area. The size was more than made up for by the location and personable service. The hotel and rooms were very clean as was the pool area and the location to the sea was fantastic. The hotel has links with some of the beach clubs which were just a walk across the road. The beach clubs did cost extra but well worth it. It is located about 1k from the centre of Forte but this was a short bike ride, which is the easiest way to get round the area. The staff at the hotel could not of been more helpful, they arranged bike hire, recommended and booked restaurants and gave really good advice about tourist areas nd places to go. We had oblique sea views, which are what they say, but think it would be worth spending the extra to get the sunsets. We would love to visit again next year. Thanks James & Amanda
