Having been in Formia for 6 days, I cant get enough of this restaurant! Farming much of their own vegetables and pressing their own oil, you really get to taste seasonal Italian food at its best. The fish of the day is second to none, and I would strongly recommend the Ricciola - a tasty, robust white fish, cooked to perfection in a light tomato and herb sauce. I am still working my way through the menu, but the pizza´s are so light, I was tempted to have 2! Fresh oysters, homemade pasta sauces, and the odd special if you fancy something a little different.
If you´re thinking of going on a Saturday night, go early, or book - its totally packed, and perhaps is more enjoyable on another night.
With the warm friendly service, and carefully prepared dishes, I´m struggling to try anywhere else, and even though Roncesare is not in the main town, its well worth the 5 minutes drive.
P:S: The Proseco is really rather good too!
