“Lovely place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Spent a few days at Valleponci this September; a beautiful place in a valley of it's own off the beaten track, but still close to the beaches around Finale.
Evenings of delicious food - some of the best we've had in Italy - were made more magical still by Giorgio's hospitality, the fantastic wine they make there, and little wild boar running around in the shadows.

We spend some nights in the Valleponci and it is very relaxed there. Really quiet and good wine. Just the stairs to the bedroom and the two little dogs beside were irritating from time to time. The surroundings are beautiful and people realy friendly.

We stayed at Giorgio's place for 4 nights and it was just perfect. At the beginning we struggeld a bit with the distance from town (be aware that it is a narrow and windy road) but at the end it was the best place we could possibly choose. Giorgio and his team are very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is relaxed, the rooms are special and the agriturismo is settled inbetween climbing areas and mountainbike routes. The breakfast is basic but good (fresh croissants every day) and is served outside. Make sure not to miss dinner there!!!

I have spend a week last summer with my family and friends at the Valle Ponci Agriturismo,

and it has been fantastic. The food first class as the vine our favourite was granaccia. Wild boars at dusk running shy across the bank on the other side of the little stream gave us the ffeling of being in a remote location, while in a short drive you are at the beach.

The guys running it a really friendly people !!! who were allways up to give some advise or help what ever we needed to know or find.

I had the fortune of spending several days here with my husband, toddler, and my parents at this rustic B&B tucked into a narrow verdant valley. We stayed in a comfortable apartment above the restaurant which had an enormous bathroom and a convenient kitchenette. The owners, Giorgio and Daniella, are so friendly we immediately felt like we became fast friends. After delicious Lugurian meals made from local ingredients that are in season (much of which is vegetarian cuisine--great for my mom who is a vegetarian), we would hang out with Giorgio and Daniella in their restaurant/lounge area in front of the fire, talking into the wee hours. Service was great. The location--along the road Julius Cesar took during his return from war that has five ancient Roman bridges--was amazing. We are rock climbers, so we could walk to the closest climbing crag (Rocca di Corno). Mountain bikers also whizzed by daily, as this is one of the popular mountain biking routes. The only downside was the distance from town. We could walk down the hill in half an hour into the heart of Finale Marina, and the drive is relatively quick (but narrow and windy). But it's definitely more remote than B&B's in the marina or in Finalborgo. I thought the trade-off was well worth it. They are in the process of building a villa out back with more rooms, and should be done summer/fall 2011.

Room Tip: Find out if they've finished the new villa!

My family (incl. our 4-years old daughter) stayed in this wonderful old Italian house with a very relaxing garden. We found it difficult to choose among the 3 available rooms as each one is very specific featuring different topic and looking very nicely. All facilities were very clean.

We adored Giorgio’s breakfast served outside in the garden and friendly atmosphere created by the 3 friends who besides cooking delicious Italian meals produce different types of exquisite wines some of which are quite renowned in the region of Liguria.

Place is only 4 km (10 minutes drive) away from a nice beach, which is free of charge, unlike many others on the Italian coastline. Our daughter loved the smooth pebble the beach is covered with.

To conclude with, this Bed and Breakfast offers very good value for money and we will surely revisit this place hopefully on more than one occasion.
