“Just ok!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We recently spent two nights at this property and I have to say it was dissapointing to finish off our trip with this hotel. The property itself is hard to to get to. Unless you pay a huge sum to travel by water taxi, it will take you a while to get to there. Once we arrived the staff were great, they care of our bags and showed us to reception, but that was probably the best of it. The hotel itself is unattractive, and does not look anywhere near as modern as it does on their website. The room we had was not what I would class as four star. The room rate, which wasn't cheap, included breakfast but it was pretty bad. Overall this hotel wasn't bad, it just wasn't worth the money and I now feel i could have got something better for the same price. In saying that, Venice is expensive and majority of hotels are very over the top with their Ventitian style of decorating which is why we went for something that seemed modern. Best to stick with the local style i think...

Front desk staff unable to accomodate requests like additional blanket and directions to the internet cafe. Food in the restaurant below average for Italy. Very expensive wines. Stayed in a single room and it was perfect for a solo traveler under the height of 5'8. They had a twin bed that if you were over 6 feet would have your feet hanging over the end. Do not think that this hotel was a 4 start. Recommend Hotel Regina. We went there often for directions and they had better food.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Everything was totally under the standard you would expect froma four star hotel. Apart the fact that everything is pretty old, but whne things are not maintained that is even worst.
The bathroom has a broken curtain (no glass here!), no shampoo, only old soap and an even older hairdrier. The carpet on the floor was old and had a terrible smell. The temperature in the room was too high and I had to keep the windows open to get some decent temperature, but hte road was than too loud!
In the room the fridge was scartched and small.
As for the rest people were friendly but brakfast was poor although this is typical in Italy.
One problem might be that in ITaly stars are given by the regions therefore there is not a central standard criteria to judge hotels!!
