“Average Hotel-Good Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2010

We stayed here one night on our trip through the Dolomites. Considering it was off-season and it was one of maybe two hotels open in Cortina, it wasn't too bad. The hotel is a bit out-dated and seems like it's seen its share of weekend skiiers and hikers; it is what it is and we weren't expecting a plush setting. The room was a little cramped and we had a view of the pedestrian bridge and part of the town/distant mountains. Speaking of which, you are right next to the main promenade and shopping. Also, next to the cable car that takes you to the ski slopes. By the way, late April/early May still had great late-season skiing. So, if you like shopping, skiing and no-frills or are just passing through, check out this place.

hotel is in good location. There is a bus stop to take you to the ski lifts just outside the hotel. which we found quite convenient. Internet is 5 euro for one hour, but very very poor connection. if you want to use the internet, it is a 10 min walk up the main st. basic breakfast. staff friendly. good for the price. Bed is a bit uncomfy, but still alright to sleep.

The room was nothing special, but clean and comfortable for the one night we were there. It's a great location, near the main pedestrain street, opposite a decent supermarket and a 10 minute walk from the bus station. Breakfast was more the ample and tasty.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke great English. They helped us book a rifugio for the next night by phoning for us. Cortina is an expenive town and this hotel was no exception for what you get.

I arrived in Cortina at a quiet time of year when most hotels were shut and was despairing of finding affordable accomodation in what is a pretty pricey town. The tourist office gave me a list of places to try, and I lucked out when I found this place. Albeit small room but with its own bathroom and clean and perfectly adequate for a solo traveller, and the hotel has a nice chalet style ambience. It was at the edge of town, but since its a small town, easily covered on foot, that was no hardship. Price in May 2007 was 50 Euro. It has its own restaurant, is opposite a COOP supermarket and also adjacent to a long easy walking trail. Strongly recommended. The bus ride to Dobbiaco is fantastic value with roads winding through some gorgeous Dolomite scenery.

While the hotel is a little dated, it is kept very clean and the staff are a delight. The location is good (across the street from a grocery and only a few feet to main walking street of Cortiina. It is located on a well-used road (not much activity late at night and early a.m.), but that simply means you have to keep the windows closed, which keep noise at a minimum. We went to Cortina, hoping to hike, but the weather turned unseasonably cold, so having the windows shut was not a problem.

Breakfast is like most hotels of this size and quality--adequate

I booked this hotel on the back of other reviews. i have to say the staff were excellent, both enthusiastic and helpful. However, the rooms were very dated and the noise from the road outside was horrendous. We were unable to open the doors or windows because of this. Breakfast OK. only 2 mins from main shopping street

Small, simple hotel. Friendly service, nice breakfast. In walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Nice views. Could be noisy from street but quiet when you close windows. Free parking is a plus. Open during non-peak season when many others were closed.
