“Great Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

We stayed here during Christmas week and just loved it! The main street of shops is just down from the hotel and had a great vibe during the Christmas period with Christmas stalls, lights and hot wine. The staff (a friendly family) were fantastic and helped with everything including restaurants with good value for money and information for skiing etc. The bus stop to get to the slopes was practically at the door and there was a room available to store the ski equipment. Breakfast was also included with a great selection and variety of food perfect before a long day of skiing. Overall a perfect place to stay!!

We stayed for a week immediately before Xmas and found Villa Neve to be a fabulous base for our Cortina skiing adventure. The staff were friendly and helped us figure out buses, taxis etc. The bus stop for the free bus around town is a few metres down the road and the Main Street Corso Italia is 50m away. Villa Neve is well located and we would happily recommend it.

We arrived about 11 AM for our 1 night stay and thus got a parking spot in front of the hotel. Free parking for the hotel is limited. We were in room 34 in the back. We took this room so we would be away from the street noise. However, what they neglected to tell us was that in the back there was construction going on which was very noisy although not in the evening. The hotel is very centrally located and just a brief walk to downtown Cortina. The room was small, but clean. The bath room was very narrow with a small tub. It was a step down tub. By that I mean that the inside of the tub had two levels which to me made it a little more difficult to shower. This is a family run hotel and they are super friendly and most helpful. In the morning they advised us not to got to Bolzano via the Domite Hwyway due to possible bad weather, so we took the long road around. Breakfast was continental with good coffee but no hot items which was fine by me. Hotel has free wifi and also has a lift.

Room Tip: Ask about the construction in the back of the hotel. If it is going on, I would select a room in the...

The price was reasonable. The difference between with and without breakfast is 10 EURO per couple. The breakfast was good.

The room was clean but not very big. The only thing that bothered us in the room was the shower - there is a small bathtab with a shower head at the top. The problem is that the bathtub is so small that can berely move you feet in the tub, nor you can sit in it (although i don't see why anyone would want to do that). You have to stand still (or move just a few inches) while you are taking your shower. The acceserroies in the showers are not the newest, but they work fine and do the job. The hosts were very nice and helped us with questions.

Such a warm friendly welcome in this pretty chalet style hotel. We were offered and shown two rooms, one at front and the other at back, quiet at the back but the view of the mountains from the front even though it was near the main road made our choice for us. (there was little traffic when it got late anyway)The room was pleasant and comfortable with a balcony and adequate bathroom. The position of the hotel made it very easy to explore the centre of Cortina which is a wonderful vibrant town. Dogs were made very welcome too. Parking at the front was limited, but we got there early enough to get a space. The manager was quick to recommend where we could dine with the dogs and pointed out other places of interest, then asked us where we were heading to the next day and marked a map with the best route (for spectacular scenery) Wifi ok. Nice breakfast Would recommend.

Recommendation: Stay for more than one night if you can! There's so much to see and do around Cortina, lots of lovely walks, cycling, ski lifts for views etc..

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night while travelling through Italy.
This is a fairly average hotel and not worth €110 / night.
Breakfast was very average continental with no hot food on offer.
The location is central on a busy road but no traffic noise was noted in the room.
The manager was very friendly and helpful.

The Villa Neve is a great place to stay! From the moment we arrived our stay was perfect. It is an older alpine hotel that has been refurbished. Most of the hotels in Cortina are old. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was modern and had a great tub and shower. The hotel staff was fabulous. They went out of their way to help us in any way they could. The hotel is located right off the pedestrian walk where you will find all the shops and restaurants. It is also close to the gondola and bus stop for the slopes. We were there in the off season (May/June) and found it very quiet, no crowds, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The breakfast was continental but had a lot of variety. Cortina is beautiful and well worth a trip to see it. We would stay again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: Even the ones facing the street are quiet due to the double glass windows.
