My children 7 and 5, my wife and I spent a week at the end of June and wife and children returned for another week at the end of August. The agriturismo is conveniently located inland in the outskirts of Castiglione della Pescaia (5' from down town by car) surrounded by hills and overlooking what just few decades ago were the notorious Maremma's marshlands.
The place is quiet and ofers plenty of opportunities for MTBs that can be rent locally.
Lodging is clean and pleasant.
As we got there, we planned to dine out at least once to savour some Maremman cousine; as it turned out, we always ate supper at the agriturismo. Most of the food comes from their fields and it is cooked superbly. The wine served is local.
Dinner is a family affair, all guests eat together with family members - a good opportunity to socialize.
At first, Paolo, the family head, seizes you up and then opens up with a wealth of information about flora, fauna, business, sites, trips (MTB included) etcetera, concerning Maremma.
The entire family is very helpful, but they are true Maremmans, they call things by their names without much fuss.
All together we had an excellent stay and have recommended this agriturismo to friends and family.
We plan to visit again next year.
